GreenPak collects the following recyclable materials:

 

   • Paper / Cardboard

   • Plastic

   • Metal

   • Glass

   • Batteries

   • Electrical goods and electronics

 

 

 

 

Paper / Cardboard, Plastic & Metal can all be placed all together in the green recycling bag. On recycling day (check out the waste collection schedule in your locality from here) place the green bag on your doorstep so that it will be collected by our collector

 

 

 

 

 

Paper/Cardboard, Plastic, Metal & Glass can be placed separately in any iBiN found in one of the localities serviced by GreenPak (Click here). Paper / Cardboard must be placed in the white bin, plastic in the blue bin, metal in the black bin & glass in the brown bin.

The revolutionary iBiNs are able to identify in real time how full they are. When the bins are full a signal will be sent to a central data centre advising that the bin has to be emptied. Thanks to this new technology, the collection service will be more efficient.

 

 

 

 

 

Place empty and clean glass containers in a reusable container and dispose of them on your doorstep on glass collection day in your locality (check out the waste collection schedule in your locality from here). Do NOT place any glass in the green bag.

Only glass bottles and jars are collected. Other types of glass such as plates, drinking glasses and glass windows are accepted by Wasteserv at any of their Civic Amenity Sites.

 

 

 

 

 

BATREE is a nationwide initiative run by GreenPak Coop for the recycling of batteries. The following are the types of batteries collected by the scheme: AA, AAA, Button, C, D, 6V, 9V & mixed batteries. Vehicle and industrial batteries are NOT collected by this scheme.

You may drop off your used batteries for recycling in the hundreds of BATREE recycling bins found at leading supermarkets, stationeries, schools and local councils across Malta and Gozo.

Electrical goods and electronics are collected through the bulky refuse service offered by the Local Council. Call at your Local Council for further information on collection days and time. You can also visit a Civic Amenity Site in Mriehel, Hal Far, Luqa, Maghtab, Ta’ Qali and Tal-Kus in Gozo.
