Lately I've been reading about LCF and the foundational papers cite this "unpublished and privately circulated" paper by Dana Scott and J.W. de Bakker. Managed to track down a scan of the original, but it was excruciating to read (as 30+ year old scans are).

TFW you learn about a PLDI paper from 2013 that more or less presents the same as your (as of yet) unpublished and to be extended workshop paper from 2017... Guess I won't publish it now 😅.

Why no-code is uninteresting in 1 tweet. No game-changing inventions. Just design tradeoffs between generality & simplicity looking for market fit. The long tail of software makes that hard. Monetization entails self-defeating customer lock-in. Move along, nothing to see here.

Documents as User Interfaces. More Cedar/Tioga/Gargoyle goodness. Here, documents are extended to serve as user interfaces. These ideas also inspire ’s Clerk project, though we haven’t quite caught up to 1991 yet.
