Requesting template editor rights. For the past few weeks, I’ve been working with other editors on Template:Find sources and related templates and modules. MusikBot II recently changed the protection settings for a number of these modules, including those that I created and am still editing. Thank you for your consideration. - Wikmoz (talk) 19:53, 15 November 2021 (UTC) Wikmoz (talk) 19:53, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

- Standard Guidelines review:
- @Wikmoz: MusikBot has an override feature that can be used by an administrator to put the protection level back down. That’s not to say no by any means (I’m not the person who would review your request) but just so you're aware of that option.@Wikmoz User:GKFXtalk 19:57, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- I'm inclined to agree with GKFX on this one; if there is a specific template or two that you need access to, the protection level can likely be dropped. Primefac (talk) 20:07, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion! It's definitely a possible solution and I can pursue that route. However, this project involves many smaller modules (like this) so a large number of individual overrides would be required and change as additional modules are created. - Wikmoz (talk) 20:10, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- One additional note. I am familiar with and have contributed to the process of updating high use templates (including editing test cases) and understand the risks and responsibility associated with these types of edits. - Wikmoz (talk) 23:15, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

I've made quite a few template-protected edit requests recently, and Tamzin's recent question of "why aren't you a TPE?" has encouraged me to apply. As for the guidelines:
- Editing for >1 year: as I just realised, I've just barely been editing for more than a year (1 year and 1 day, by now); this is my first edit
- >1000 edits: I have more than 10,000 edits (though many are automated), so this shouldn't be a problem
- >150 template/module edits: yes, more than 500.
- No blocks/3RR violations in 6 months: yes.
- 3 sandboxes: yes.
- 5 requests: maybe; I doubt all of these are "significant", but much of what I plan on doing is similarly minor:
- Template talk:Archive bottom#Edit request to complete TfD nomination 3 (not a formal edit request)
- Template talk:ITIS#Template-protected edit request on 11 November 2021
- Template talk:The edit-summary field#Edit request
- Template talk:Hmbox#Template-protected edit request on 24 September 2021
- Template talk:POV#Edit request to remove TfD tag
- Template talk:Db-meta#Template-protected edit request on 8 November 2021
- Template talk:Infobox musical artist/Archive 15#Adding an automatic short description
- Template talk:Infobox political party/Archive 1#Template-protected edit request on 19 June 2021
- Template talk:Infobox football match#Template-protected edit request on 19 May 2021
