OPEC oil price annually 1960-2021
The preliminary 2021 annual average OPEC oil price stands at 68.19 U.S. dollars per barrel. This is up from 41.47 U.S. dollars the previous year, which was only slightly higher than the average annual price during the 2016 oil crisis. The 2020 fall in prices was the result of a significant decline in transportation fuel demand and weakened economic prospects during the coronavirus pandemic. The abbreviation OPEC stands for Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and as of June 2021 it includes Algeria, Angola, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and the United Arab Emirates. The aim of the OPEC is to coordinate the oil policies of its member states. It was founded in 1960 in Baghdad, Iraq.

Benchmark crude oil prices The OPEC crude oil price is defined by the price of the so-called OPEC (Reference) basket. This basket is an average of prices of the various petroleum blends that are produced by the OPEC members. Some of these oil blends are, for example: Saharan Blend from Algeria, Basra Light from Iraq, Arab Light from Saudi Arabia, BCF 17 from Venezuela, et cetera. By increasing and decreasing its oil production, OPEC tries to keep the price between given maxima and minima.
The OPEC basket is one of the most significant benchmarks for crude oil prices worldwide. The most important are UK Brent, West Texas Intermediate (WTI), and Dubai Crude (Fateh). Because there are many types and grades of oil, such benchmarks are indispensable for referencing them on the global oil market.

United States - monthly inflation rate in October 2021
In October 2021, prices had increased by 6.2 percent compared to October 2020 according to the 12-month percentage of change in the consumer price index, respectively the monthly inflation rate for goods and services in the United States. The data represents U.S. city averages. In economics, the inflation rate is a measure of inflation, the rate of increase of a price index (in the below case: consumer price index). It is the percentage rate of change in price level over time. The rate of decrease in the purchasing power of money is approximately equal.

One of the most important economic indicators is the development of the Consumer Price Index in a country. The change in this price level of goods and services is defined as the rate of inflation.

The annual inflation rate in the United States has decreased from 3.2 percent in 2011 to 1.2 percent in 2020. This means that the purchasing power of the U.S. dollar is relatively stable again. The purchasing power is the extent to which a person has available funds to make purchases.

According to the data published by the International Monetary Fund, the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) was about 258.84 in 2020 and is forecasted to grow up to 298.06 in 2026, compared to the base period from 1982 to 1984.

The monthly percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for urban consumers in the United States increased by 0.9 percent in October 2021 compared to the previous month.

Compared to other countries the U.S. inflation rate is relatively low. In 2020, Brazil for example had an inflation rate of 3.21 percent, compared to the previous year, while the inflation rate in China stood at 2.39 percent.

Revenue of the Walt Disney Company in 2021, by operating segment
In the year 2020, the Walt Disney Company generated a total revenue of 16.5 billion U.S. dollars with its parks and resorts segment, a decrease of around 10 billion from the year before. The company's biggest segment was its media networks, which generated revenue of 28.39 billion U.S. dollars in 2020. This marks a significant increase from the 16.21 billion U.S. dollars of revenue generated in this segment in 2009. The total assets of the Walt Disney Company amounted to 201.55 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.

In 2016, the Walt Disney Company generated over 40 percent of its revenue through its media networks– i.e. ESPN, Disney Channel, Hulu or the ABC Television Networks, among others. This revenue stream brought the company 23.69 billion U.S. dollars, up from 20.36 billion in 2013.

Parks and resorts were the second-largest revenue source, generating a total of 16.97 billion U.S. dollars. It is a very successful segment – Disney’s parks take places 1 to 9 in the ranking of the most visited amusement and theme parks worldwide. The Magic Kingdom Park in Bay Lake, Florida, ranked first in 2015 with 20.49 million visitors.

The third-largest revenue stream – with 9.44 billion U.S. dollars – was studio entertainment or Disney’s film business. Buena Vista, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company, generated over three billion U.S. dollars at the North American box office in 2016, an increase of almost 100 percent on 2012. This amounted to a box office share of 26.3 percent in 2016, thanks to blockbuster films such as "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", "Finding Dory", and "Captain America: Civil War".

As of November 15, 2021, Slovenia had the highest rate of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases reported in the previous seven days in Europe at 1,058.4 cases per 100,000. Gibraltar and Croatia have recorded approximately 1,056 and 918 cases per 100,000 people respectively in the past week. Furthermore, Austria have a rate of 851 cases in the last seven days.

As a result of the crisis between Belarus and the European Union, Polish border services recorded more than 17 thousand attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border in October 2021, mainly by citizens of Iraq and Syria. In total, since August 2021, 28.5 thousand immigrants, mainly from Middle Eastern and African countries, have attempted to cross the border illegally.
In 2021, due to the actions of Alexander Lukashenko's government, a migration crisis was initiated on the border of Belarus with the European Union. The Belarusian authorities contributed by organizing the transfer of refugees and immigrants from Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries of the Middle East and Africa across the Belarusian-Lithuanian and Belarusian-Polish-Latvian borders.
