Remote Process

We'll anchor our discussion in Zoom [https://zoom.us], keep notes as we have done in Google Docs (see Discussion Notes below). We are using Mural (https://mural.co) to organize the discussion. If you're unfamiliar with Zoom or Mural, please go play with them a bit before we meet, and be on time (6pm) so you can acquaint yourself with our specific workflows. Mural and Zoom both run on browsers alone, but for a better experience we suggest you download and install the Zoom application on your Win or Mac PC.

We organize our discussion by posting up to three (real or virtual) sticky notes per person on the (real or virtual) whiteboard. Even if you're fully conversant with the process, please log into the meeting early enough to post your stickies by 6:20pm; we'll then select the first few topics and start the discussion by 6:30. Try to finish eating by 6:30 as well.

About Book Club
We meet most months the 1st and 3rd Thursdays, so you can put that in your calendar. When we resume physical meetings we'll feed you, and if you come to most of the sessions, we'll even reimburse you for the book, so save that receipt.

If you've been curious about clean language, this is the session for you! Agile Austin is proud to present "Coaching with Clean Questions: Uncovering Individual and Team Work Patterns" with Caitlin Walker.

This will be an interactive session in which participants use clean questions, explore metaphor, and sense how to adapt these processes for other topics. You will be invited to work in pairs and threes to extend your initial thoughts with clean questions. We will then explore how these can be adapted for use in Agile.

Participants will learn to use a couple of Clean Questions and understand how to use them ethically in a business context. You will explore two of your own metaphors and get a sense of how to adapt the process for other topics such as: Making Decisions, Coaching at Your Best, and so on. You will practice asking colleagues Clean Questions and noticing their simplicity and the difficulty of keeping your own assumptions and bias out of the frame.

Resources
Please bring paper and pens to draw on or to describe your metaphors. Where possible we would like you to be able to switch on your cameras to engage with fellow participants.

About Caitlin Walker
Caitlin is a director of Clean Learning and the developer of Systemic Modelling™. She is the author of *From Contempt to Curiosity* and *So You Want to be DramaFree,* which is a work manual for reducing unnecessary Drama and Contempt at home and at work. She's led across our community from the most dispossessed to leading think tanks. She has recently completed her doctorate in Clean Language Interviewing and Curriculum Design and is currently co authoring a book on Clean Language Interviewing with business colleagues Marian Way and James Lawley.

Caitlin has developed her modeling skills from small-scale group development to whole scale organizational culture change programs. She designs and delivers tailor made learning and development programs for addressing diversity, conflict, leadership, managing mergers and creating "learning organizations." She is passionate about congruence of approach and on sustainability and turns down as many projects as she accepts. She does this on the grounds that change processes need to be fit for purpose and that leaders need to have had an embodied experience of the changes they seek for others and to have had tangible results personally using the methodology employed before inviting their workforce to undergo personal and professional development.

Agile Austin is pleased to announce this year's virtual Keep Austin Agile conference. In the quest to “Dare to be Agile”, we’ve lined up three phenomenal internationally-recognized speakers (Ahmed Sidky, Jonathan Smart, and Sally Elatta) to inspire and challenge us to look beyond the current state of agility and explore what’s possible within ourselves and our organizations.
