Franz was prompt and professional - we needed fumigation services ASAP as we were closing on a home, and wanted to fumigate before we moved everything in. They were right on the estimate, worked with our timing, and managed to complete the fumigation without harming any of the landscaping close to the house!

Tim from Taps did the inspection and confirmed the presence of termites. We discussed the process of fumigation is detail. Taps gives a significant discount if you prepay before the treatment. They subcontract the actual fumigation out to Costless Fumigation. They arrived on time, were very professional and tented he whole house and treated it. We were informed before hand how to prepare for the fumigation and what the process entailed. At this time there is no evidence of persistent infestation.

The fumigation seemed to go well. Everything was fine. They were professional. We weren't here the day they fumigated but they did the job and they left.

Note that this was for work performed in 2000. Pre-Prep did a fast and careful job of preparing my house for fumigation (termites) before I moved into it. I no longer wanted the old TV antenna, and they kindly hauled it away. Actual fumigation was performed by another company.

Terrible Service Report CostLe$$Fumigation came to fumigate our home on Dec 17, 2020 . We are extremely dissatisfied with their service and planning on reporting the terrible job they have done to BBB and all social media. 1. They broke over 400 tiles on our beautiful roof. They basically damaged our entire roof. They did call us and tell us that about 10 tiles are broken and they may damage a few more like 30-40. They BROKE over 400. In order repair the damage, we got 5 roofers to assess the damage and give us estimates, we were informed by all of them that the tiles were broken because of the incompetence of the fumigation company workers. They had no experience working on such a custom roof. I have called and spoken to Carina, the Manager and Justin the Field Manager from Cost Le$$ Fumigation many times to report the details of the damage. They have responded with their standard clause that we are NOT responsible for the damage. How can a licensed company NOT be responsible? This is horrible. The pain and frustration we went through scrambling to get our roof fixed during our holiday vacation and the season of winter storms. In addition, we should NOT be held responsible for the damage caused because of the incompetence and carelessness of the Cost Le$$ Fumigation team. If they did NOT have the expertise, they should have told us. Terrible company. Please do not hire.

He did a good job on pest inspection. The company he recommended to perform the fumigation was easy to work with. They came in as promised. When I requested to leave the fumigation tent on longer in order to have better result, they were willing to accommodate it.

Smooth process, lot of prep work but instructions were clear and they answered all questions without last minute surprises

Was very easy to schedule an appointment for an estimate with Marc; good office support so always someone there to answer the phone and questions. Marc was responsive in answering calls. Follow up with estimate and paperwork good. The process went well. Crew took care to put cloth spacers on certain angles of the roof and gutters to protect them. The estimate was reasonable because they do not subcontract out the work. In fact, other companies use them to do the fumigation. 3 houses on our street used them.

They were great. Their office communicated via email (which is what we requested). They showed up on time and did the job. After the fumigation we noticed that one of the gutter downspouts fell off the house. We contacted them and the owner came by and fixed it right away. Again - very responsive and professional.

We joined Angie's List to find a Contractor to add a Master Bedroom Suite to our home. Then found out we had termites in the garage. I decided to check Angie's list for pest control and I'm so glad I did. A few years earlier, we hired the Orange Oil method to destroy the termites. They came back in the same location. I contacted We Care Pest Control and Sean came out. He was on time and explained that Fumigating the house would be our best option. He took the time to explain in detail to remove the food from the refrigerator or purchase bags to store food in. All open items need to go. You can keep canned and factory sealed bottles, etc. He walked through the house with me and pointed out what needed to be done. He was on very patient and polite. He responded to emails promptly. He even called PG&E with me to arrange for the gas to be turned back on after the house was fumigated. The day of fumigation the crew arrived when they said. According to the neighbors they were very professional and quick. We were informed we could return to our home about six hours sooner than originally told which was very nice. They live up to their name. They really do care!!! Let's face it, dealing with getting rid of critters is never pleasant, but it's nice to have a professional company help you with the task.

We accepted TAPS proposal and had our home tented. The actual fumigation was subcontracted to Discount Fumigation, Inc., and that job was not satisfactory. In the course of tenting our home, they destroyed a TV antennae that was supposed to be taken down from the roof, but instead it was thrown to the ground and broken in several pieces. A separate report will be submitted for them. TAPS took responsibility for making sure we were compensated for the damages and worked with Discount Fumigation to reimburse us. After the fumigation, we proceeded with TAPS for repairs that needed to be done. Their workmen arrived on time, were professional, and did a good job. They cleaned up well, and everything was left in good order. Anita in the office was professional, responsive, friendly, and made sure their customers were taken good care of. Anita and Gary are delightful to work with.

No problems; great communication and work. The fumigator helped me decide whether to do some optional work (didn't pressure, etc.).

I was impressed with TAPS: very friendly, professional, easy to deal with, and they do good work. BUT they subcontract out the fumigation to Cost Le$$ Fumigation, and require you to fill out two sets of paperwork, one for them and one for Cost Le$$. The contract for theCost Le$$ includes language that says if anything is missing or damaged, they're not responsible--I didn't like that at all. They dug dirt out of the garden to put around the edges of the tarp, and didn't do a very good job of putting it back. And the chipped our laminate floor. Bottom line is that I like TAPS Termite, but not Cost Le$$ Fumigation. UPDATE: I'm still not happy with CostLe$$ Fumigation, but TAPS Termite has gone well above and beyond the call to make things right. I can't imagine what more they could do to address my issues, and so I do recommend them. They can and will use someone other than CostLe$$ for fumigation, and I recommend that.

Came to the house for a limited inspection and measurement. Mailed us a full package of paperwork including the report, recommended treatment, all disclosures and instructions. Once I phoned to schedule the desired dates, asked me to mail the signed agreement. On the initial day of the service, the outside preparation company and the utility company showed up early in the morning, the fumigation company arrived a couple of hours later and all progressed as described. We were told we could reenter the house by 5:00 PM on the third day and the inspection notice and exterior preparation company were completed by 12:00 PM. I followed all the instructions as provided and everything went very smooth! The crews were friendly and professional.

Jim at Proven Termite was extremely helpful. I had a tight schedule since some renovation work was starting right after the fumigation on my property, but Jim started promptly, took care of everything at the property and finished on time. He was also very helpful as I was trying to understand what fumigation and tenting was about, what I needed to get done etc. Highly recommended.

They came and did honest estimate and did a quality job. Didn't end up using their fumigation as it was a bit high.

I was very pleased with Franz Termite Control and their subcontractor. Jorge came on schedule to inspect the garage and confirmed the presence of drywood termites. He said the infestation was probably too widespread for local treatment to be effective. He recommended fumigation (tenting). Cost of the inspection was $45 ($95 - $50 coupon from Angie's List). The subcontractor sent a representative to look at the garage and then Franz provided an estimate of $900 to tent it. All this was performed promptly. It was agreed to perform the fumigation at that price and the fumigation was performed on schedule about a week later. The subcontractor clearly explained the prep work I needed to do, and they did a good job of cleaning up at the end. The fumigation came with a three-year warranty.

I pretty much never write online reviews, but I was so pleasantly surprised by Proven Termite Solutions that I would like to recommend them. Their prices are competitive and their customer service is excellent. I saw evidence of termites in multiple areas of my house, and I suspected that I would need to get the place tented. I reached out to PTS based on Angie's List recommendations, and Jim came out for an inspection. He was very polite and professional, and confirmed my suspicions that tenting was the best way to go. He answered all my questions and gave me a written estimate on the spot. After that, I reached out to two additional companies - one based on Angie's List recommendations and another based on the recommendation of a friend. Both companies sent out agents to inspect the house, but after that, communications dropped off with both. I finally got a quote from the second company (for hundreds of dollars more than PTS), and the third company never even responded to me. I scheduled my fumigation with PTS, and in the days leading up to the service, Jim and Chris kept me in the loop about what needed to be done and were very responsive to all my additional questions. I decided to hand off my keys personally on the day of the tenting. The crew was very polite and took care not to damage any of my rosebushes. After the fumigation, I was really surprised and happy to see that the crew put back some mulch and rocks that we had moved away from the house in preparation for the tenting and also closed all the doors and drawers we had opened. Fumigation is an annoying process, but PTS made it as painless as possible.

Barrett Adams, the inspector, was friendly and efficient. They responded almost immediately to my request for an inspection and Barrett, from the Tracy office, was on site the next day. After inspections from two other companies, we chose Killroy, in part because they offered a three year warranty vs one year for the others. Killroy was also the only company to offer the possibility of spot treatment, though the warranty wouldn't be for as long. They did express the opinion that the full fumigation was the better way to go in our situation, and after the other two company inspections, we had to agree. The actual fumigation was performed by Your Way Fumigation. The work was done on time and with no surprises.
