How does an eCommerce license work with your software?

The FREE plugin is the full WordPress eCommerce shopping cart software version; however, the PRO and administrative software that is downloaded from our website is licensed software. The PRO software will add all core features and the Premium version will allow access to our administrative software, apps, and extensions. You may continue to run the FREE WordPress plugin, but must purchase a license to use our PRO or administrative software.
Each license is good for one website URL or WordPress installation. You may transfer a license from a development environment to a production environment at any time; it is your license once you purchase one.
Licensing gives you features such as coupons, promotions, live shipping rate calculators and more. Plus you will receive support from our staff individually rather than through our community open support systems. For more information on licensing, you can view our website.

Do I have to pay monthly?

No, there are no monthly fees to pay with EasyCart. WP EasyCart allows you to utilize the plugin on one WordPress website for 12 months with upgrades and support. The Free edition has 2% EasyCart fees per transaction. The professional/premium edition have 0% EasyCart fees per transaction. *Normal payment processing fees always apply.

Will it work in my Theme?

Yes! EasyCart works on 3 WordPress pages, which are automatically created on installation. Our installer walks you through the steps quickly and if you have any theme issues, your theme developer or our staff can assist.

All over the settings of this plug-in you can see and feel all the time and attention that’s gone into this app! It really reflects the long-term adaptation the developers have invested, adding countless niceties in their interface and functions.

I volunteer to maintain a wordpress website, but I have no experience in web design or programming. I was able to add EasyCart to our site and get our store up and running in just a few days, from knowing nothing to having it working. It's been running for about a year, with zero issues. I had a question about a feature I wanted and chatted with one of the developers, Josh, via EasyCart's online chat. He immediately knew just what I was asking for, and answered all my questions with amazingly useful detail. So, great software and great support. By way of what impact the software has had, the members of our organization really appreciate the modernization we were able to add to an old and non-tech-savvy organization and our fairly antiquated website. We've increased membership 40% in the last year, and I think adding our online store is part of the reason why.

To put my review in context, I have designed, developed and hosted over a hundred websites since the inception of the Internet in the early 1990s. I currently manage and host about a dozen websites that include Joomla, WordPress and Moodle software. Therefore, I have much experience (and many frustrations) in installing and configuring plugins and extensions. One of my clients is a small parish. With the advent of the pandemic, we installed an online store on their Joomla website. The store turned out to be very successful. We were able to easily convert their bake and foods sales from in-store purchases to curb-side pickups. Remarkably, their sales and revenues actually increased. Unlike most other churches, our parish as able to remain financially viable. Although this first store served the parish well, it did has some limitations, e.g., difficult to configure and make changes; did not work well with mobile phones and tablets; and did not have the live-shipping connections we needed. We began looking for an online store that would better address our needs. After extensive research and reading many reviews, I decided that we should build a new store using the open-source software Prestashop. This was mistake! After hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars spent on plugins and programmers, a year later I simply abandoned the project because we could never get it to work properly or reliably. Fortunately, our existing online store continued to work fine during that time. I once again began a search for easy-to-use online store software that had the additional features we need. Doing a Google search, I stumbled on WP EasyCart. What attracted us immediately was that this one plugin had everything we wanted ... works with all devices; a better Stripe integration; and a live integration with Canada Post. One hesitation was that this was a WordPress Plugin, and our current store ran on a Joomla website. However, I was already hosting two WordPress sites. I have a dedicated server so creating a separate WordPress website for the parish store made good sense. So I created the WordPress website, and downloaded and installed the free trial version of EasyCart. Using the included demo data, I had the new store up and running in less than two hours! Based on my experience, EasyCart is one of the best designed software packages that I have ever used. The documentation and videos are excellent. I was able to quickly learn how to set up and configure the various components of the store. It is very feature-rich, for example the flexibility and options available for each product are very impressive. Yes, there were a few bugs and missing features. One was that Canada Post integration stopped working after an update. This was fixed quickly, and a feature we requested was added days after we asked for it. The technical support and customer service is among I best I have ever dealt with. For example, the free trial period was extended a couple of times because I was waiting to make sure the bugs were fixed before purchasing a license. Normally, I get a response from Josh or Matt within hours, or certainly within day or so. Also, having to deal with only one vendor makes things so much easier! Finally, a comment on pricing. EasyCart is a great deal! A three-year professional license cost me less than the price of ONE plugin for Prestashop. We need to financially support the developers of great software so that we too can continue to reap the benefits from it. I highly recommend WP EasyCart to anyone that wants a all-in-one, feature-rich online store that has excellent technical and customer support. EasyCart is being continuously updated so it is only going to get better and better.

Ignore the disgruntled users who obviously devoted little time to learning to properly use a complex and terrific plug-in, because hands down, THIS IS THE BEST! Support and service is SUPERB! At first use I had several problems (MY misunderstanding of setup procedures) and sent a support ticket which was THREE TIMES replied to WITHIN MINUTES! No idea what the naysayers are talking about. Insofar as 'complexity' (I am using the PREMIUM version), what do you expect from a plugin that DOES EVERYTHING POSSIBLE? Did you learn Wordpress in five minutes. folks? This plugin is a DREAM for a merchant and while yes, it has an endless array of settings and choices, not all are required, and you can set your pace. All I can say is I am FAR from an expert, and with a little attention and work have realized no other cart plugin or solution even comes close to EasyCart! Thanks to JOSH for his incredibly rapid responses to my inquiries and a perfect solution to each of them. You will not go wrong here!

The good first: WP EasyCart is the fastest way to a full-featured e-commerce website on Wordpress that doesn't charge a recurring fee. Documentation is good to great, you can do tons of customization before you start having to write any PHP, and the list of features is solid compared to the competition. I only have one complaint: the no-recurring-fee tier costs 2% of your gross volume on top of your payment processor's fee, which means it's about as expensive as Etsy, but WP EasyCart treats it like a free trial. There are some things a paid web store should be able to do—and even the no-subscription tier of EasyCart is a paid web store—that are gated behind a subscription that doesn't make financial sense until your sales volume is $1400 a year (at which point the 2% fee exceeds the cost of the cheapest subscription tier). I can't issue promo codes, do volume pricing (except by using product options, which isn't ideal), or even see an order's status history without paying for a subscription that is probably going to cost 2-3x what the 2% fee does for my store, which is a low-volume side hustle. If the no-subscription tier were actually a free tier, I don't think I would have any room to complain. This is a full-featured software package, and developers need to eat. (I am one, by day.) The thing is, though, even if I'm not paying a subscription, the 2% fee means I am still a paying customer, and I feel like they're a bit too aggressive about pushing a much costlier product on me, rather than giving me the tools to expand my business to the point where the subscription is the obvious winner. That doesn't change that EasyCart is still the best budget option, even on the 2%-fee tier, but it could be even better in ways that wouldn't meaningfully hurt the developer's bottom line.
