I would like to raise a suggestion to improve your plugin.

When crons are stuck below message is shown as a yellow notice on the plugin admin screens.

Could you upscale this notification to red notice level ‘warning’ and show it on all admin pages? That would allow me to troubleshoot this issue more quickly:
