WIPO Translate is extensively used by innovators, lawyers, translators, intellectual property professionals and many others to help them to understand technology that is being developed in other languages.
WTO has been using a customized version of WIPO Translate trained on WTO texts for some years already and our collaboration is continuing with the introduction of neural translation technology. WIPO Translate plays an important role supporting multilingualism at WTO, allowing Secretariat staff to quickly comprehend texts which cannot be translated by humans due to resource constraints.
Thanks to the great progress made in the quality of machine output, WIPO Translate is also increasingly called on by translators as an important tool in their toolbox.
