WHO IS POCKETGAMER.BIZ?
Brian Baglow | Managing Editor
Brian has been working in the games industry since the mid-1990s, when he joined the legendary studio DMA Design, as a writer on the original Grand Theft Auto. Since then he's worked with major publishers, founded his own digital agency, helped numerous startups with PR, marketing, communications, narrative design, branding and making money. Back in 2004, Brian created the Scottish Games Network, the industry body for the country's videogames sector. He also lectures at Napier University on the transformative power of interactive media on the creative industries, is a board member of Creative Edinburgh, and helps to organise games, tech and creative industries events. In his spare time, he plays videogames and is usually, proudly, at least one generation behind the cutting edge consoles.

Jon Jordan | Contributing Editor
One of the site's original co-founders, Jon remembers the heady days of 'surfing the BT Cellnet' (ahem), and text-based WAP mobile gaming with a certain degree of nostalgia. Everything's moved on plenty since then, of course. Not least Jon, who now boasts several million colours, a touchscreen and up to 8GB of inbuilt memory. It's not done much for his battery life, though.

Aaron Orr | Staff Writer
A 2021 addition to the team, Aaron Orr is a writer for PocketGamer.biz with a lifelong interest and passion for the games industry.

Charlie Scowen | Events Marketing Executive
You'll often see words from Charlie about upcoming events. He assists the marketing team as they promote events such as the Pocket Gamer Connects series, the PocketGamer.biz MasterClasses, Pocket Gamer LaunchPad and other market-defining activities. He will play almost every game that catches his eye and enthuses about the esports scene so much that he wrote his dissertation on it.

Chris James | CEO
If you haven't come across the founder and CEO of Steel Media, then Chris really hasn't been doing his job very well. He's been in the games media since the 1990s and co-founded Steel Media Ltd in 2005. A regular on the conference circuit, the Godfather Of Mobile Games has spoken at MGF, MEM, and chaired Develop Mobile, as well as served on the judging panels of every award – from the Mobile Choice and Motorola MotoDev to the IMGAs and Meffys. If he hasn't pitched an idea to you yet, then you're probably about to receive a call.
