    Hi there,

    Our team runs a WordPress multi site network with quite a few sites that relied on Facebook embeds.
    We installed your plugin, followed all the setup instructions for adding the Facebook app, and entered the Key and Secret in the settings for each of our sites that we want to continue using Facebook embeds for.

    After all of this, the embeds aren’t working. When we copy and paste a URL for a facebook post into the post editor, it remains as a URL instead of transforming into the embed.

    Can you offer any assistance?

    Hi @mbrackenridge , Thanks for the information.

    I think the foremost check would be making sure the Facebook app is live. Facebook recently changed their app model, so the screenshots in the guide need some refreshing, but the app needs to be in live mode before the plugin can fetch any content from API.

    Could you check if that’s the case?

    Hi Ayesh,

    It’s absolutely in Live status.
    One thing we did notice is that under the API Stats, there is no data or information even though it’s Live.

    It’s not working for me either.
    For WordPress 5.5.3 or 5.2.4.
    My ID and secret seem to be working though because I can get a response when I fetch the API on the postman.

    Hello @ayeshrajans

    The issue reported by @mbrackenridge was being caused by a legacy integration of ours rewriting facebook oembed providers using wp_oembed_add_provider. This was preventing the plugin reaching the correct facebook API endpoints. After removing the custom logic we were able to get the oembeds working with this plugin
