Hardwood Floor Repair in San Francisco

I can't praise highly enough David Bautista and the people working with him. The repair and refinishing of our very old oak floors in our entire, large downstairs is masterful, just exquisite, and the painting is equally fine. Our old home has many original details, and Julio was meticulous in all his painting. We added on the painting of our front porch, steps, and landings, and those were also beautifully done. David spent the better part of the last day examining and finishing every detail of the work, making sure all was done well and to our liking. I must also add that he and all those working with him were always neat, quiet, cheerful, and respectful of us and our home. We would most certainly hire them again for any similar work. David is a master craftsman. He repaired and refinished our 100+ years old hardwood floors and made them look like new again. He had to patch and install new flooring in some areas, and was able to make a perfect match. We are thrilled with the results; the floors are absolutely gorgeous. We only wish we had worked with him sooner! David is wonderful to work with; he is friendly and professional, an incredibly hard worker and was quick to answer any communications. We can't recommend him highly enough!

They came out right away for an estimate. I live in an old house and almost everything has been needing extra repair. Surprise, the floors were in decent shape, with some repair needed around the fireplace. I put down a deposit and gave them keys. When they discovered a problem, installers called to ask if I wanted to go ahead and quoted a very reasonable price. The floor looked wonderful, the repair blends in and the crew did a great clean-up job.

We highly recommend SOD Home Group for any large construction project. After finishing my excellent research about them, we hired them to make some significantly large repairs to our home. Oren was very up front about what needed to be done, and he listened to our concerns and ideas of what we need and want and then came up with a super detailed plan of what needed to be done. We found Oren as a very honest, professional, easy to work with person, competent, and extremely knowledgeable about his trades. Oren was present and working with his teams almost all the time they were present. Oren always answered his phone right away whenever we had questions (and believe us we had so many questions and comments). Our repairs and construction job required expertise in many aspects of construction at our home. From framing, waterproofing, stucco, structural repairs, tile work, drywall painting etc. all of which got done in a great and timely manner. We do a lot of our own repairs , and have had many contractors doing projects too, but we found SOD Home Group to be by far the best construction company we have ever seen or worked with. Their prices are fair, their work is excellent, on time, clean and the quality is fantastic. Oren is knowledgeable about whatever he is working on and always kept me updated on whatever aspect of the job he was working on. A wonderful person to work with. If you want a job completed with no stress and the assurance you are getting it done right, then we feel strongly that SOD Home Group is the one to call.

The first job was a repair after a leak and we were so impressed we decided to take out carpet and refurbish another floor.

I thought I had enough tiling to complete the job, but did not. Danny escorted me to the local Home Depot and help me pick out tiling enough for master bath at no additional cost. His team applied epoxy coating to my garage and found a couple cracks and shortly after it started pealing since we applied during told season. Reached out to them months later during summer and honored his warranty to fill cracks and reapply epoxy coating. They are awesome and would highly recommend!

I called this company per your suggestion to repair a wood laminate floor. It turns out they do not REPAIR floors; they only provide supplies to do the job, so I was disappointed because they are so close to my home area. I'll keep on looking.

Andy Hahn, the owner returned my call promptly and was very friendly. He stopped by at the end of the day to take a look at the work that needed to be done. He was on time and was even more friendly in person. He emailed me an estimate within a couple of days and broke down the estimate into different tiers of possibilities to help us not only understand our options but helped us break down the cost of the job. If we only wanted to do a certain part of the estimate, that was fine with him. When work started his guys were amazing. True professionals. They didn't speak much english, but Andy is fluent is Spanish so it wasn't a problem. And I could wave my arms enough for them to understand me. Anyway, the workers were on time (even during the World Cup Mexico vs. US game) and did a great job and were respectful to my family. The outcome was fantastic. Better than expected. I would hire them again without hesitation.

Working with Just Hardwood Floors was a very positive experience. The hardwood flooring in this vintage two bedroom one bath house in Hayward, CA had been covered with carpeting for over 30 years. The care and workmanship done to restore these floors to their original glory was gratifying. The replacement flooring in one bedroom fits in with the original flooring. The tile in the entry way was removed and the pinstripe style flooring that exists in the main room was copied successfully for the entryway. This is my uncle’s home. I am his Successor Trustee and while this house is in an obsolete area due to its proximity to aerial BART tracks, it retains its charm. Jason and John treated this job with respect and I appreciate that they did. There are many who will not do their best work because a house is not in an upscale neighborhood. That is not the case with Just Hardwood Floors. Their decency, professionalism and high quality work is commendable and rare to find. I highly recommend Just Hardwood Floors because of their work ethic and the results they achieve. When I have another project I am engaging Just Hardwood Floors for the project.

this is for a work that was done on my mom's house. the house needed major repairs and updates (since it was never touched from the 50s when originally bought by my mom) m&m construction updated kitchen cabinets, countertops, converted electric stove to gas operated. old wall papers were removed, new texture applied with new paint. they also removed old carpets and discovered some nice looking wood floors underneath which they were able to sand and stain, floors looks amazing! thank you very much guys

Jason and his dad John did a fantastic job. Prompt, courteous, and careful. We needed a repair in addition to refinishing and they did a beautiful job that does not look patched. Would definitely bring them back for more work.

Excellent - John and Jason were great. They explained the difficulty of matching old floors with new and explained what would work best. They kept to the schedule and the final product was beautiful. There was seemingly no dust in the house even though the floors were being sanded.

A damaged tongue and groove hardwood piece was removed and replaced and entire floor area refinished. The original sanding when this floor was installed (not by Clark's) was not a quality job and Clark's craftsmen were able to bring it up to a much more acceptable level. Their "atomic dust free system" was amazing and well worth the extra money paid for the service. After completion of the job, even the walls in the room which were not covered were dust free. The refinishing job they performed matches other hardwood throughout the house and we are very pleased with the job.

Jason and his dad were fantastic! We had a section of tile that was over the top of the hardwood floors in the entry way. When we removed the tile, the wood was a completely different color than the rest of the floors. The guys sanded the floor down and restored it to its original glory. We have a big picture window so the floor finish is really important since the room gets so much light. Even in the brightest light, the floors are perfectly smooth and look great. We would definitely use Just Hardwood Floors again and recommend them to a friend!

Clarks did a great job on our repair. The floor looks as good as new. The floors were damaged by Bay Mountain Air (BMA)during install of a new heater. BMA refused to pay for the work after it was complated. Clarks has been extremely patient with us as we are trying to collect from BMA for the costs of the repair. I highly recommend this company.

They did a good job. I had to have them move some furniture as well for me. The floors now look very nice.

They were very responsive and reasonably priced. The quality was good for the price. They are not experts, by represent a good value.

I recently purchased an older home with wall-to-wall carpet. I wanted the carpet removed and the underlying hardwood floors repaired and refinished. My realtor requested a quote from Steve Bouchon at the The Hardwood Floor Source and I pursued two other quotes from other companies. The quote from The Hardwood Floor Source came in 10-15% below my other quotes, and fortunately, they were working at another job nearby so were immediately available to start my project. Throughout the project Steve was excellent at walking me through process...calling me each night to update on the project status...explaining all of my options in detail, and patiently waiting for me to make decisions. They maintained a clean work site and were flexible about working around a landscaping work crew. Upon meeting my new neighbors, I apologized for any noise or inconvenience they may have experienced during the work being done, and all of them assured me that they had not noticed any noise. The floors came out beautifully! They are now the best feature of the house.

I FEEL THAT THIS COMPANY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON THIS REPAIR. THEY DID A GREAT JOB WITH EXTENSIVE HARDWOOD FLOORING IN OUR HOME. ONE OF THE WOODEN HEATER VENTS BROKE WHEN A CHAIR WAS PLACED ON IT. WHEN THEY CAME TO OUR HOME TO MAKE THE REPAIR THEY MADE SEVERAL ADJUSTMENTS TO THE HEATER VENT TO ENSURE A PERFECT FIT. THE FINISH MATCHES EXACTLY, AS WELL. WE PLAN TO HIRE THEM AGAIN SOON FOR FLOOR MAINTENANCE.

It went very well. The results matched my expectations. They were flexible - they accommodated my late change requests. Their pricing was competitive. They finished on time. My only suggestion is that they offer a buffing/polishing last step.
