The Home Doctors Inc

Their initial quote was too expensive. The quote was for about $8,500. They were very professional. They were a little bit slow on the slog time but I would consider them again for future projects.

Pennie Rose plus her crew of four came in and did their thing. Pennie put a lot of our landscaping in many years ago. We now have her come in at least once a year to check the health of all the trees, bushes, flowers, etc and to trim, prune, move plants, plant new ones, and check the irrigation. Rather than bid a job, she charges for the day plus materials. Good way of doing business. She has a hard working crew of four. They all know their stuff and I have never met anyone that knows and Doctors plants any better than Pennie. She is a real pro

The Davey Tree Expert Company

Avoid this company. The staff are the worst, I have not used them myself but this is my experience with two of it's crews. I just arrived home with my two young children to find one of Davey's trucks completely blocking my driveway while one of their guys was up in the lift cutting the tree. I honked the horn and another guy on the ground just waved at me. I jumped out to tell him it is ridiculous that he is blocking my entire driveway and he got totally up in my face screaming at me to be patient and acting as though he were about to hit me. Is this the normal Davey protocol? This is the second time I have had problems with Davey crews. One of it's commercial crews was here in the summer blocking our narrow street. The garbage truck was forced to veer wide to get past Davey's trucks which were blocking the street and knocked a large branch off one of my trees. Instead of just putting it through the wood chipper the crew simply left the branch hanging off my tree and tossed the smaller branches onto my property. I called and complained and got no response. I ended up having to saw the branch into small pieces and over the course of several weeks dispose of it in my compost bin. There are far better tree surgeons in the Easy Bay. I personally use Traverso and they are excellent. Avoid Davey if you value your neighbors. I can't speak for their work, but your neighbors will thank you not to use them.

Tree Surgeons Near You

What is a tree surgeon?

Tree surgeons are specialists in handling the removal of large or cumbersome tree branches. Their primary mission is to allow healthy growth.

Do you have a really old (and most likely large) tree? While many people may attempt to handle large trees by themselves, it can be dangerous if you make a critical mistake. We mean dangerous to both your body and health, and dangerous for the prolonged health of the tree. Therefore, such jobs are best left to professionals.

What are the benefits of hiring tree surgeons?

Tree surgeons prune and manage trees in a professional manner. They can control trees that threaten foundations and trim dangerous branches that are threatening nearby power lines or surrounding roads. They also chop up felled limbs into usable firewood and handle emergency removal requests.

How much do tree surgeons near me charge?

Removing a tree is expensive. Most homeowners spend an average of $1,264 for tree removal. Prices can vary between $1,050-$1,450.

Why hire a surgeon to save a tree?

Removing a tree is the most costly service you will incur with regards to tree management. Most charge according to the height of the tree. The cost varies per foot, with taller trees incurring around $15 per foot to remove. Smaller trees often cost about $9 per foot to remove.

If your tree is located near power lines or in an area that is difficult to access, the removal cost may be higher. In such cases, you may be able to save on expenses by having the tree pruned instead.

Pruning with a surgeon however (at an average cost of $450) can remove dangerous branches and reduce the risk a tree may pose.

Also remember tree disposal costs. For example, homeowners often pay an extra $50 to have leftovers such as branches and tree trunks removed from the property.
