In this part of the Bay Area, as I understand it, no matter what termite company you call, Cost Less will do the fumigation. (And in my case I paid the termite company and they pay Cost Less, hence the "N/A" for cost of service.) The team that came to my house to set up the tent was very professional, competent, pleasant and able to communicate well. My problem with the company was communication with the office. On the plus side, they were very helpful and kind about my several telephone calls for more information about my concerns and fears. On the minus side, they seemed disorganized and unable/unwilling to keep promises about doing things they were asked to do and said they would. (1) At the first call to set up the date, they said they'd send me paperwork to sign. When it still had not come and it was getting near the date I'd scheduled, I called them. They'd forgotten, but they'd do it now. The good news was that I kept the original date, which I'd planned my life around ... (2) Before and during the 3 days of tenting, I asked them to call me, e.g. when they were on their way to my house for day, or when they had certified the house for re-entry on day 3. They never made any of those calls. Each time, I had to call the office and ask. For those sorts of things, I would expect that contacting the customer by phone would be standard operating procedure. It would certainly make customers feel that their time was being respected. PS: Not the fault of Cost Less but relevant to the subject of TENTING: none of the standard tenting pamphlets, nor anything I could find on the web, addresses two effects of the tenting gases (Vikane(R) and the warning gas chloropicrin): on mattresses, in particular Tempurpedic, and on batteries. They got rid of the pests adequately, but they also made a mess of my yard with their tents by grinding their tents over my landscaping. They need to be watched when they're putting up and removing the tents.

Very professional. Showed up on time. Explained exactly what would be done. Answered all of our questions. Made the experience painless.

We chose Franz Termite Control to do a report and tenting on the house we sold. They organized everything including subbing out the tenting. They worked with the tenting guys to protect a wisteria vine growing adjacent to the house. I am very fussy about my plants and even though we were leaving this house, we wanted to be careful of all the growing things. They were helpful and considerate of all my concerns. We were so pleased with their work we used them to tent the house we purchased afterwards. Same particular attention to detail. We were very pleased with their work and would recommend them.

Terrible Service Report CostLe$$Fumigation came to fumigate our home on Dec 17, 2020 . We are extremely dissatisfied with their service and planning on reporting the terrible job they have done to BBB and all social media. 1. They broke over 400 tiles on our beautiful roof. They basically damaged our entire roof. They did call us and tell us that about 10 tiles are broken and they may damage a few more like 30-40. They BROKE over 400. In order repair the damage, we got 5 roofers to assess the damage and give us estimates, we were informed by all of them that the tiles were broken because of the incompetence of the fumigation company workers. They had no experience working on such a custom roof. I have called and spoken to Carina, the Manager and Justin the Field Manager from Cost Le$$ Fumigation many times to report the details of the damage. They have responded with their standard clause that we are NOT responsible for the damage. How can a licensed company NOT be responsible? This is horrible. The pain and frustration we went through scrambling to get our roof fixed during our holiday vacation and the season of winter storms. In addition, we should NOT be held responsible for the damage caused because of the incompetence and carelessness of the Cost Le$$ Fumigation team. If they did NOT have the expertise, they should have told us. Terrible company. Please do not hire.

The tenting went very smoothly. The crew arrived promptly and did a careful job of tenting, attempting to prevent damage to the house and shrubbery. They explained the procedure and the schedule very well. Cost Less adjusted their timing of the tent takedown to accommodate PGand E's schedule for reinstalling gas service. Overall, I can't ask for more.

Arrived on time and vacated on time...a couple shingles damages but very minimal damage...appears termites are dead:-) Provided preventative services as quoted. Owner called back in a matter of minutes when we had a question late at night after getting back into the home.

The inspector was pleasant and thorough. Had them treat for subterranean termites which involved drilling through brick, tile and concrete, and going into the crawl space as well as dry wood termites which involved tenting. The tenting was subcontracted and I had my choice. Overall, it went fine.

Smooth process, lot of prep work but instructions were clear and they answered all questions without last minute surprises

Jim at Proven Termite was extremely helpful. I had a tight schedule since some renovation work was starting right after the fumigation on my property, but Jim started promptly, took care of everything at the property and finished on time. He was also very helpful as I was trying to understand what fumigation and tenting was about, what I needed to get done etc. Highly recommended.

Getting a quote was simple and quick. The price quoted was very reasonable and they were able to schedule us during our preferred time slot. The service was done well and on time and their communication was great. They even re-attached some of the fence boards that we had to detach before the tenting.

Excellent. They prepped the exterior of the house (turning up weed fabric) so that seal works well. Afterward they came back to undo their prep. Found some medicines I forgot to vacate; they put it in a plastic bag on the kitchen counter.

Other companies had to us we would have to tent the house, we then used this company. There were able to treat the house without the tent and with out poisonous chemical and we even able to stay the house. The treatment even left a pleasant scent because they use orange oil.

The crew showed up on time and did a careful job tenting the home. They made extra efforts to protect the plants around the home. After the tent was removed, they did a good job cleaning up. I would use them again.

No problems. Started and finished on time. Were careful (after reminding them a few times) to keep ladders off copper gutters.

Good: Manager was prompt and professional in assessing our termite needs and created a reasonable bid. The crew arrived promptly on the scheduled date and quickly tented out house. Not so good: Installation process damaged a sprinkler head, chipped a concrete stair, broke off a stone face piece on a retaining wall, and left a strip coating of glue on a rock wall. Dirt from our garden area was taken to hold down tent edges in various locations, including the roof. A wheelbarrow load of dirt was dumped on a shrub, which was difficult to remove and was h****** the plant. Other clean up issues remained, including removing loose dirt from the roof. Something quite heavy must have been dropped on the concrete stair in order to chip part off. Resolution: Management scheduled an appointment to review the problems and provided a reasonable and satisfactory resolution. I believe that Proven Termite Solutions' management is genuinely concerned about providing good customer satisfaction and I am pleased with the ultimate result.

The initial inspection was thorough and the inspector was very informative. Based on the report, we decided to go ahead with the tenting and also have them do some of the minor repair work. The crew that came out were very prompt, professional and thorough. They were pretty careful about not damaging landscaping and putting things away afterwards. We were very pleased with the whole process and plan to use Omega for some of the other repair work as well.
