We recently embarked on a reasonably complex backyard renovation which would involve multiple projects, contractors, the city (for permitting) and our HOA. We met with more than a dozen contractors with a full range of bids, and received a plethora of ideas on what they thought we should do in the yard. We wanted someone who could help turn what we wanted in the backyard into a reality. Luckily we were fortunate to meet Michael Martinez who is an award-winning Senior Project Design Specialist, Consultant and Project Manager at Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape. He was the final contractor that we met and he definitely lived up the saying, “saving the best for last”. Michael called before our appointment and kept us in the loop regarding his arrival time for our initial visit out of consideration for our time. Once we met Michael he immediately felt like a member of our family. He is extremely personable, honest and trustworthy with high morals and ethics. At our first meeting Michael took the time to get to know our family, strived to understand the goals and objectives of what we envisioned in our yard and how he could be a part of the solution to overcome some of the challenges in our backyard. He could see the bigger picture and presented design solutions to mitigate project challenges other contractors may encounter later in the job. Michael gave us a design that fulfilled many of the objectives to support the overall goals for our yard. He did an excellent cost to benefit analysis designing smarter which would allow us to get the best value. Considering the design, materials used, scope of project and Michael’s expertise, his bid was very competitive. He made me feel very comfortable, and I knew that the plan was in good hands. Michael checked in often and wanted to start as soon as we received HOA approval. While waiting to obtain permission from our HOA to begin, Michael met with his job foreman Juan and us several times onsite to walk through the project. He contacted our other contractor to ensure everything would come together at the end of the project. We met with him at a hardscape supplier to review our options. Michael is very familiar with hardscape products which were very valuable considering the scale of the proposed work. Receiving approval on a Friday, Michael and his job foreman Juan swooped in on the following Monday. Michael’s on-site crew was always on time and had an excellent work ethic. They started at 8am and concluded at 5pm daily. During their day, there was minimal downtime. We only noted two 15 minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch. They minimized impact from heavy machinery and constant loads of materials coming and going from the site by covering where possible front yard landscaping with plywood. At the end of each day, Michael’s team would clean up which my neighbors appreciated. He checked in on site daily to ensure the project was progressing smoothly and to address any project concerns or challenges immediately. If we weren’t home he’d provide updates via phone or text. We never felt out of the loop and didn’t have any surprises due to Michael’s excellent communication skills. When weather didn’t allow for construction to continue, Michael’s crew would arrive and cover the site to minimize downtime. Michael always had our family’s best interests in mind. We really like that Michael handles every aspect of the project. We didn’t have to deal with a separate salesperson, designer, project manager, contractor or subcontractor; he manages it all giving us peace of mind. Having completed the first part of our project I felt compelled to write this review for the excellent five star customer service and end product we received from Michael Martinez at Black Diamond Paver Stones and Landscape, we highly recommend him. The guy I hired to place expensive natural stone on my retaining wal was a no show. I call called Fernandez Stone work and Landscaping. Him and his men came in and took care of bussiness. Professionally and exactly like he said , when it would be done and how much it would cost. No surprises. He also left the work area cleaner then he found it. I would recommend Mr. Fernandez to my closest friends and family.

Daniel Rivera came out and personally assessed the situation, giving thoughtful advice. His crew came 4-5 days later and worked cleanly and professionally for about 5-6 days. Their craftsmanship and technical skills were evident.

Mr. Le and his crew began work on the vision he presented us with our entire yard:front, back and sides. They constructed a wall at the top of the hill which not only bolstered the grassed and fenced portion of the property, but is also a pathway covered in gravel. At the bottom of the hill they constructed a brick wall and then filled in the space behind the wall with gravel, topsoil and fertilizer. We have various plants down there now and plan to add more. They moved our plants, trees and shrubs to places around the property which made more sense than the random places the previous owners had planted in. They also built a stone stairway going down the back hill, created additional garden space that my wife requested, Put automatic sprinklers all around our house (the property is 8800 sq.ft) and used some bamboo from my neighbors yard (with permission) to build borders along both sides of the back yard hill I described. They also pressure washed the bottom of our deck to ready it for painting. They used plants that were on our property as much as possible so that we didn't have to go out and buy that many new plants. Mr.Le is extremely knowledgeable about plants, and has a fantastic sense of design when it comes to landscaping. He was very collaborative with my wife about where plants should go, listened to what she wanted and offered improvements on what she wanted when it was practicable. They were at our house for 2 weeks or so and we were very glad we hired them. Mr.Le tries to go above and beyond what he offers, and in our case he did

They provided a prompt estimate and were very professional. Mike offered wonderful advice. The guys did an excellent job constructing the walls. We were very pleased and impressed with the results. Every rock was fit to perfection. We will definitely use them for future projects. We look forward to working with them again. Great guys all-around.

Gophers chewed under former wooden retaining wall and emptied dirt onto concrete next to my house. Plus, large agave plants were also threatening to bring down a 30 year retaining wall. I got two estimates, Chris came out to give me an estimate, measured the wall exactly and followed up with a written estimate. He was also ON TIME and that is huge with me. The work took about 7 days (we were out of town) and about 6-7 people. They replaced the wooden wall with a concrete block wall. It looks fabulous, it will last forever. In the meantime, part of our back fence fell during a recent windstorm. My first call was to QLC and Chris. I don't need another estimate. They are coming out next week to replace a portion of the fence.

Peninsula Concrete rebuild two retaining walls in front of my house.one was 4.5" high and the other up to 8" high. The walls were previously wood and were rotting and leaning. They had a large crew with two excavators and began work on time. they excavated to install drainage and geogrid. All inspections were passed and they finished on time and within budget. The walls now look great and should last 100 years. Very satisfied and recommended.

Fernando’s Gardening did a great job of rebuilding my retaining wall and replacement of slats on our Pergola. Work was done efficiently and on time, and the company cleaned up our yard when the projects were completed.

We had a very large and complicated retaining wall to rebuild. We had been turned away by several contractors before we found Green Bay Remodeling. When we met Zack, he was very personable and knowledgeable. He knew what was needed and how long it would take to complete our project. We needed to put in a retaining wall in our front yard on a slope. They did a great job, were always professional and cleaned up after themselves.

System Pavers and Project Manager, Lucas Fitch, did a terrific job in rebuilding my retain wall in my backyard above our deck and across the length of the property. During the excavation part, they ran into numerous unknown problems behind the old wall, namely stone and rocks, as well as huge tree roots that had to be removed. Lucas along with his engineering staff came up with an excellent plan to take care of these issues while minimizing the cost for me. At the finish, everything looked perfect. Excellent, Sergio had plenty of good ideas and worked diligently to create a low-water use rock and plant garden and a new lawn. He built 2 retaining walls and put in walkways. He worked with large stone slabs. He upgraded our curtain-drain drainage system. We've hired him to come back and do more.

He did one job for me which was done OK. Then I twice more asked him to bid on other jobs and he consistently failed to show up or provide a bid after showing up.
