She made a room design for the living room. She purchased appropriately sized furntiture for a room with very unusual dimensions. I'm very happy with her work. She gave me three choices within my price range and the furniture fit the uniquely sized room perfectly. She is very professional and prompt. There is no project too small. She will always take the time to go over intricate details. I needed a bathroom stool and I don't have the time for little decisions and she found three choices and it looks perfect. Although she is based in San Francisco, she readily travels to the east bay area.

Janice really knows how to make a home look and function amazing. She planned the layout for an addition for us. She was so good at planning a layout that functioned well and made great use of our space flowing from the old part of the home to the new. But what really impressed me was knowing that we were going to be living there, her layout functioned well while construction was actually going on, too. She did point this out during the planning stage as well as the addition bringing increased resale value. I didn't fully comprehend that meaning until we actually lived through the construction and she was so right about her layout containing everything to one area. She also did window treatments, an entertainment unit, and space planning for us. Her expertise and experience on living in a space was so spot on after construction, too. She made everything look so beautiful but also still functional. She really knows the scale of furniture to be in a space as well as placement and using furniture we already had!

I found that she is professional, patient and has style with all of her decisions. Right away we knew Eliana was exceptional from how she gave us a rough sketch for the family room to the ideas of how to add color and warmth to the house. For the redesign, she brought samples over, went shopping and also sent us links for items we could consider and purchase. She always kept the communication open with both of us which I must give her credit. Eliana also is talented in incorporating our current layout and with new items for that pop of style and color, transforming an old space into new. I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased the coupon for a couple hours of consultation. I was probably under prepared. In the end, it was largely about looking through catalogs at bedding and accessories. We later received a quote on the bedding and accessories we were interested in and it was over $2000. It was a good experience but we didn't get a lot out of it. This was likely in part because I didn't know what to expect and really should have been more targeted in what I hoped to accomplish.

I give Janice triple A. She is fabulous. I love her. She honored the price of the big deal and she was an absolute gem. She is so talented. I have the colors that she chose for the room that I am doing, the studio, and they are beautiful. She gave me my money's worth and more. I would use her again and again. As a matter fact, I want to call her. I really enjoyed her. She had some back surgery and she is doing fine but I have not had the chance to call her because I was busy. I cannot say enough about her. She is wonderful, personable and extremely talented. She knows her color and interior design. She could step through from the studio room with the colors that I needed. She approved the floor that I had chosen. She gave her feedback on a couple of cabinets and the cabinet issue that I had. We then moved into the family room and she told me what colors to do there and some things. I had to write it all down because it was so much information. She is very very good. I really like her. I like her as a human being and a decorator. She is a really neat lady.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Her services were fine. She gave us a couple of great ideas but I don’t think they fit with what my wife and I wanted. For the purpose of what we wanted, we just wanted to start exploring different options and use of space in our patio and our upstairs area and I think it was a good conversation. I think with things like this, you have to stylistically align with that person and I don’t know if we did. I don’t think she was necessarily bad. She was very competent, professional, on time and made some very clear suggestions to us. It went fine. You couldn’t really use a lot of her ideas but it got us started on making changes within our home. We thought her initial cost was reasonable.

Recent Review: I hired Everlast a little more then a year ago for my first project, last April we decided it's time to do the last bathroom. This time we used interior design they offer in a promotion and that's was really nice touch to the deal. As always good service, great workmanship we are very happy form the final product.
Super Service Award Recent Review: As remodels go, there are always issues only exacerbated by covid. The team reworked the schedule at extra hassle to the workers when the tub arrived cracked and introduced 2+ week delay. They sought feedback and quickly course corrected when we were not aligned. They seamlessly absorbed change orders like AC installation in tight spaces. The chandelier was perfect for the space addressing multiple design challenges...and i understood that they had to build a platform as my ceiling height wasn’t accessible with all ladders. The overall design was elegant and addressed numerous challenges (kitchen is really a study in small spaces...it feels so much open than before without moving a single wall). The quality of the finished product is really remarkable. When i was burglarized (broked into lockbox), they immediately arranged for locksmith to help resecure my home. Due to unforeseen delays and change orders the work took 3.5 months vs our original estimate. They made sure every item on my punchlist was addressed and with quality. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.

Recent Review: Where do I start! I am so happy I found a trustworthy and reliable contractor in Walnut Creek. Our house was basically a complete rebuild from a 1941 bungalow. We expanded the existing footprint by more than double and also added a detached garage. S&L was the absolute best! We bought the house in February but were not able to complete the drawings/permit process until a whopping 7 months later-- by which time a substantial amount of our resources were used up by paying rent + mortgage+ storage. The contractor we had planned to use could not fit us into his schedule so we were in a bind-- I found Jacob and contacted him immediately. Everyone he has on his team was courteous, responsible, and just very good at what they do. the craftsmanship that went into our house was much better than many of the new construction track homes we have seen. I only wish we found him sooner--since his business also does the architectural drawings-- we probably could have gotten into our house several months earlier. As I was very nervous about making changes to my home, the team at S&L Remodeling and Design made me feel comfortable and excited with the new renovations. The process was quicker than expected and I now have a beautiful kitchen and bathroom space!
Recent Review: Their quote was ridiculously expensive. For painting alone, they were charging us like $19,000 for a one bedroom apartment. Other than that, they seemed to have a design team on hand and the guy was very nice. They were educating us about the renovation process and they did take the time to go over things.
Super Service Award Recent Review: We bought our first house something over a year ago and we knew it will need lots of work . The house was build in 1960s and never really remodeled. We hired HomeTech to completely remodel / reconfigure existing 2 bedroom 1 bath house , added square footage to the first floor and build new second floor . We started with remodeling of the existing house while working on the plans for the additions which definitely made the project to go smoother and finish faster. The fun part of the project was the design and showroom visits. HomeTech designer really understood our style & needs, had great suggestions & ideas and the project manager good points & recommendations to keep the project within our budget . The project was completed well within the estimated time Everyone from HomeTech team was straight forward and honest from the first meeting throughout all the project, always available to answer our questions via a call / text / email. They build us an amazing 5 bedrooms 5 & half bathrooms home and we are very fortunate to have found them and worked with them.

Recent Review: I decided to act as my own general contractor (and "designer") for what I thought was going to be a simple kitchen remodel. Quickly, as the walls came tumbling down (quite literally) due to dry rot and a whole host of other unanticipated surprises, it became very clear that my "contractor" and I were not going to be able to solve some key design issues (wall configurations) with our back-of-the-envelope approach. Once all the wall studs were exposed, we learned that the only way we could capture some very valuable space under a stairwell that came partially into the kitchen, was to build a soffit. Given the kitchen cabinets, appliances and space that we had to work with, we could not figure out how to do this. I was really anxious and concerned. My experience with architects and designers led me to believe that I wouldn't be able to find a consultant who would be willing to step into a remodel-in-progress and get involved in someone else's work. I found Jill through research on the Internet. I could not have been more pleased and relieved with her attitude, ability and service. She was friendly, professional and able to offer a solution very quickly. Within a couple of days, she had drawn up some guidelines for the contractor so there wouldn't be any misunderstanding. The way the soffit fits into the kitchen looks like it was an intended design element, not something that we had to do to accommodate the problem we had found. In addition, she threw out a few other design thoughts that I incorporated into the overall project.
