We highly recommend SOD Home Group for any large construction project. After finishing my excellent research about them, we hired them to make some significantly large repairs to our home. Oren was very up front about what needed to be done, and he listened to our concerns and ideas of what we need and want and then came up with a super detailed plan of what needed to be done. We found Oren as a very honest, professional, easy to work with person, competent, and extremely knowledgeable about his trades. Oren was present and working with his teams almost all the time they were present. Oren always answered his phone right away whenever we had questions (and believe us we had so many questions and comments). Our repairs and construction job required expertise in many aspects of construction at our home. From framing, waterproofing, stucco, structural repairs, tile work, drywall painting etc. all of which got done in a great and timely manner. We do a lot of our own repairs , and have had many contractors doing projects too, but we found SOD Home Group to be by far the best construction company we have ever seen or worked with. Their prices are fair, their work is excellent, on time, clean and the quality is fantastic. Oren is knowledgeable about whatever he is working on and always kept me updated on whatever aspect of the job he was working on. A wonderful person to work with. If you want a job completed with no stress and the assurance you are getting it done right, then we feel strongly that SOD Home Group is the one to call.

Fair. Last year I hired Kenneth based upon positive reviews on Angie's list & his availability & pricing. Initially, I was pleased with the work. However, I did not do a thorough inspection. If I had, I would have noticed areas in which he literally "cut corners" by not staking down the bender boards at all the corners of the sidewalk and driveway. Initially this shortcut was not problematic. However, over the past few months the boards came loose and began to create trip hazards. This loosening of the boards was not a result of normal wear and tear, since on the corners where the boards were staked down the boards remained in place. Instead what happened over the past few months was a result of inconsistent workmanship. If he had staked down the bender boards at EVERY corner, this loosening would not have occurred. When I contacted him today to show him pictures of this poor work and inquire about repair of this problem, he told me that I would have to pay him $125 per hour for the repairs....repairs that were due to his inconsistent work quality. No thank you. As my mother would say: "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you."

After reading great reviews about Integrity I decided to give them a call to come out and fix scratches and seal the flooring. Overall they came out and did a good job, the only issue was that after the fixed the scratches their polishing had somehow discolored my grout. When I saw this (2 days later after it had dried) I called Pedro up and he came out to check it out. He then decided he would fix the color problem by doing a grout color job free of charge. Although it took a few months to get the color in and get Pedro back out, he came out and finished the job right. I'd recommend him and would use him again.

Excellent experience with Black Diamond Pavers. I had them replace two concrete driveways after one of them cracked. The project manager and designer, Michael Martinez, was a unique combination of informative, easy going (no pressure), and meticulous. The prices were competitive and the design was spot on. I've received numerous compliments on the driveways from my neighbors. They send a full crew of 3 folks out and they work hard, use the right equipment, and are clearly professional. The crew leader, Juan, was especially helpful. Although they had all of the gas and water lines marked in advance, one of the water pipes broke (it was not buried as deep as it should have been). He was quick to inform me what took place and worked immediately to repair it while Michael, the PM, drove out to make sure it was fixed correctly. While a busted water pipe is usually not a good thing, in this case, it showed their professionalism and their commitment to taking care of their customers.

Mine was a small job, so Select Pavers had to fit me in, but Luiz Cardoza was responsive to every phone call I made and email I sent as we looked for good dates. Once Select Pavers started the job--which they did on a date that was good for me--they worked every day until they completed the job in their estimated time frame. Neto Cardoza, the job foreman, checked in with me regularly to have me inspect the work, ask questions, make requests, and went "above and beyond" to be sure I was happy with the work. Neto also gave me a heads up on the dust that would result from the patio replacement and the possible track in the lawn left when they finished the work. Dust was cleaned up every day and the grass was only minimally "tamped down"--it is quickly growing back. I was extremely pleased with the job and the professionalism of Luiz and Neto and their workers. I highly recommend Select Pavers.

Louie was great! He has worked on my property several times and has done numerous numbers of different jobs for my home and business. Very trustworthy, and honest about all possible options for my job(s) paid half upfront and half of the money after the job was completed. I appreciated having a print out estimate before each job was started. Was extremely happy to have used universal maintenance & repair for my house, landscaping painting and fencing. I have used this company for other odd jobs but these were the larger jobs I needed help with.. will use again & again

Jose was very prompt in responding to my emails / texts. Everyday when he comes to work, he will text me that he started work. He communicated well in English and his work has been very good. We relaid the entire backyard (1000sq ft) with new grass after digging up existing old grass, tilling the soil, rolling up evenly, adding more new soil, rolling up again followed by laying new grass. He also helped fix the sprinklers that were broken. He took care of a patch in the front yard. He removed unwanted plants in the front yard near the door and replaced them with nice rose bushes. The cost was very nominal and he did a satisfactory job for us. He accommodated a lot of smaller things that I had in mind too.. I have actually hired him for ongoing maintenance of the lawn.

The quality of the work was good. The pavers were beautifully laid and the working with the service manager was a great experience. They were straighforward. We did have a negative issue with them however. Where they put the patio sloped away from the house and to deal with that they put in a dry well for the water to drain water away, so now we are having some flood issues. We are in the process of waiting on them to pick the pavers up and fix the problem. Getting them to follow up and respond has been very challenging. I've left repeated messages to call back and still have challenges with that. They were expensive but comparable to others we checked with. I will consider using them later if they fix the problem they caused at a quality level.

They were well priced, responsive, punctual, professional, and completed the work when they said they would. There were no hitches. Everything went smoothly. The deck system looks fantastic.

I made appt. way in advance. Asked for reminder call-back a few days in advance of the actual date. Got it. Workman arrived on time as scheduled. Did a great job. There was one problem area - he kept at it and at it until it was fixed. AND cleaned and sealed my granite back-splash as well, for which he tried really hard to decline a gratuity (not included above) ! :-) I was very pleased.

The sink had been damaged during cleaning and was scratched on the bottom and on the ridges. Ray arrived during the time he was supposed to and after he explained what he was going to do got right to work. he completed the job in 30 minutes and made sure I was satisfied before he left. The work area was left spotless. I would recomend Appleby Cleaning and Restoration.

I couldn't be happier. Anselmo did a great job on our landscaping project. It included some hardscaping (concrete sitting wall, block retaining wall, and DG area), lots of grass, planting, irrigation, pruning, clean-up, and fencing. Throughout the project Anselmo was on-site and hands-on. He and the team are hard-working and know what they are doing. Anselmo was very responsive to changing requirements and always with a can-do positive attitude. He took full responsibility for his work. If something didn't come out right then it was simply re-done. No need to argue.. Results are great! Pricing-wise I found Anselmo to be very reasonable. Two thumbs way up! Easily the best contractor we ever hired (and we had a lot of them...) If you are looking for a contractor who will give you a beautiful/detailed spreadsheet in a nice shiny folder with the company logo on it, then Anselmo is not your guy. But if you want someone who just knows his stuff and is pleasure to work with, then you found him... Update: I'm writing this about a year after project completion. Anselmo's work held very well. We have a really beautiful front lawn. There were a couple little things that needed to be fixed (a plant that died, some irrigation, etc.) and Anselmo came by and fixed them in no time. We have another project coming up and I'm definitely going to hire him again.

We did a remodeling project for our house. Luxcess Home by SOD Builders was very knowledgeable, skilled, did met all the deadlines of many topics related to the remodeling project, communicated with us very often and met the budget very good. The office staff and the project manager were sharp, knowledgeable and always responded punctually to us. The communication was critical during the remodeling process. The painting team did a very detailed job and made sure to cover everything before they even started to paint. After the work was finished, our supervisor came over and checked everything at the house. All his corrections were fixed by Luxcess Home by SOD Builders people on a the same week. Luxcess Home by SOD Builders did the remodeling job done very professionally and to our best satisfaction.

Needed to repair/replace Spanish tiles on the pathways, around 50 of them and repair concrete at one place. We hired someone but he failed to deliver a quality job. We brought in Valle Gardenin and Landscaping. The owner, Frank, is very knowledegable and professional. He had a god crew. As we could not find the original tile vendor. The contractor cut each and every tile to the right size. Frank has checked the work quite frequently and at the end to make sure that the job was done at quality. We are very satisfied with Valle Gardening and Landscaping.

I received three quotations for work to be done to replace the rear wall of our home which had severe weather damage over the past 80 years. Bricks had randomly been replaced by the previous owner and the tuck pointing that had been done more than 8 years ago, together meant that the entire wall needed to be replaced or restored. In addition, damage from a wind storm had ripped a board and a cascade of stucco from a dormer and that needed to be replaced. Even though the Fortune Restoration quotation was not the least expensive, I chose them as Peter Fortune detailed that he would dispatch a crew to our house with a mixture of talent to take care of each of the projects. While each of the projects were not large in of themselves, together they would take a few weeks of time to conclude as they could not be done in parallel. We had a bit of delay in the start as we had a wet early summer. They started in August with the Chimney. It is a free standing chimney rising a full story or more above our house. It had most likely not been tuck pointed in over 25 years. In erecting the scaffolding, the crew was careful to avoid my flowers and cautious of the slate roof tiles on which they had to stand. They completed the chimney in a little more than a week?s time (rain delays included) and commenced on the back wall. There is a faux Tudor half tower in the back of the house with crenelation at the top. To repair the wall, the crenelation had to be removed and put aside for reuse at the conclusion of repair work. First on the list was to procure common brick which matched the fa?ade. They brought samples of bricks and we selected a pink and rose colored brick which seemed to match. There are three courses of brick in that wall and there was flashing that existed at the top of the faux tower at the bottom of the crenelation. This all had to be redone and the crenelation replaced. In addition, they had to remove a movement initiated security light and work around other wires that are secured to that wall. The job wasn?t easy, but they completed it well and it matches the rest of the rear wall marvelously. They even spread a sealant over the entire back wall. The stucco repair and board replacement to the dormer was the easiest task. They painted the stucco and the board to match the existing faux daub and wattle finish of the dormer. They even agreed to repaint and repair the base of the other dormer while working on the damaged one. The work on the interior wall where the water damage had occurred is on-going. While the lathe was wet, it was not rotted. The wall needs to dry before they can repaint the wall. We have no idea how long it will take for the plaster to cure and the wall to be ready to be primed and painted, so Peter Fortune said he would check-in on us every few weeks to see when it is ready to be repainted. They matched the stain for the back stairs perfectly and matched the common brick as we agreed. The crew was courteous, neat and respectful of the surroundings and noise. I would hire them back in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone who needs restoration work. I was especially thankful of Peter?s personal attention to the job.

Khiem was easy to work with and provided excellent service. Gave honest feedback on where we could save money. Good planning on the sequence of tasks to be done and executed them well. Kept the worksite clean and tidy throughout the project and made sure that the driveway and the walkways were clean at the end of each day. All the members of his team were experts in different areas and took pride in their work. Paid attention to details and quickly fixed any issues or mistakes in my design. Khiem procured all the plants I requested from a good nursery. Patiently installed drip irrigation covering the entire yard including for the ground cover. The drip irrigation was all buried to be invisible. Refused to use sprinklers anywhere even if it was less work. Replanted some of the new Hydrangea bushes from where they had too much sun to a shady area.

We have been using their various branches on and off since 1997. They are very reliable, their prices are reasonable, and they do good work. They do a whole series of projects. We spend on project work and we have a monthly retainer as well. They have been amazingly available. I have even called them when neighbors have had a problem with a fallen tree. It wasn't even my responsibility, but they came and helped and negotiated the price with the neighbor and the neighbor was happy. We were motivated into putting the quality vendors into the list because we felt strongly about them and the others we didn't. We didn't want to waste anybody's time.

We were referred to Khiem Dac from Angie's List. He came over and took a look at our plans and walked around the yard. He came back to us with an estimate in a pretty short time that was very reasonably priced. Once we agreed to his contract he started work right away. His team was very hard working and efficient. There were a few misunderstandings about exactly what was on the plans, but we always worked it out. The yard turned out looking very nice - we had a few neighbors ask us who did our landscaping. We are very happy overall with his work. If something ever went wrong (only a few small things went wrong) Khiem would come back and fix it with no questions or hassle.
