Luxcess Home by SOD Builders remodeled our existing garage and converted it to a man cave while adding some space that will use as a 3 car garage. The new car garage included a walk in attic, new laundry room with a room for our dog, a garage wrap around walkway, a new kitchen remodeling, and new stamp concrete driveway while all of that was as part of an additional 1100 sq./ft. of new addition. The work that was designed and executed by Luxcess Home by SOD Builders added a good amount of value. We are very happy with everything that they did at our house!

I am very pleased with the work carried out in converting our old garage into a beautiful and comfortable new room. The work was of high standards and the wallwork matched the existing ones in the house. Throughout, they displayed a dedicated and professional service. It was never a problem for them to listen to our observations or respond to our questions. They started when they said they would and completed the work as they have estimated. Also, they never came late and make any unnecessary noise or mess.

Carlos and his team were great. They did a large remodeling in my house in Tiburon (kitchen, 2 new bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, new deck, new garage. Worked very hard, honest and always on time. Highly recommended!!!

Garcia Construction has been my go-to contractor for a number of years. Jobs completed included minor repairs for rental properties through major construction. For example, Mr. Garcia completely rebuilt and restored a detach garage (built in 1918); it is now a modern home office and workshop. The building is beautiful inside and out. the garage’s outside finish maintaining the spirit of the original construction, the interior having comfort and convenience for the user. A quality rare in a contractor is that Mr. Garcia will provide a complete picture of the job at hand. If additional problems are discovered, he will let you know. Of course, there may be additional work required (and additional cost), but you can be assured that the job will be thorough and will last. There will be no surprises later down the road. In working with my tenants in completing repairs, he is very accommodating to their needs and schedules. If additional trades are needed, Mr. Garcia will arrange for them and manage the project. During the Spring of 2019, in one rental project, the home required a new furnace and water heater. Through his contacts in the trades, who also do excellent work, the job was completed a a short three days. The tenant is happy with the new energy-efficient furnace and water heater. Usually unheard in the field of construction, is that Garcia Construction reduces my stress before during and after the project. He manages the project from start to finish and keeps track of all the important details so that the project is a success. I heartily recommend his firm.

Overall great! Ruben repaired a clothes washer supply in the garage. It leaked a few days after and Ruben came out immediately when I called and fixed the leak. Even though it was a holiday. Good quality work and any issues are corrected

Simple Builders was the best! Gil and his team first worked with the city of Berkeley to get all the required permits (not an easy task). They installed our deck, which is now the best “room” in the house. They then converted our garage into a studio apartment. They did all the plans, got all permits, did the work on schedule and on budget. Gil and his entire team was professional and respectful throughout. I would definitely hire them again!

Green Bay Remodeling did a fantastic job on my home renovation. They picked up the project after another builder left me hanging and they completed it on time and on budget. Inon, Pancho and team were very professional and communicative. They were easy to get a hold of when I needed them and did quality work. I will definitely work with them again and I recommend them to others.

Shaddle and his crew are experienced professionals. They are ethical, responsive, and creative thinkers when the inevitable problem crops up. The worksite is always kept neat, and the quality of work is tops. His subs are also experienced and responsive. I plan to use them on future projects.

Jim and his crew were great! Always available by phone to answer any questions or talk about the timeline. They did great work and I would not hesitate to recommend.

They wanted $9000 just to be able to give me a professional quote. They said they needed plans drawn up in order to provide a written quote. They did provide a verbal ball park, but that is not what I needed.

The job went very well. Johans the owner of American Kitchen and Bath is very knowlegable of his craft, helpful and listens to what the customer wants. His staff is courteous, professional and very clean. I left for work each day and when I arrived home all the construction material had been cleaned up and put back in the garage, which is what we used for a staging area. They were very careful to keep the construction dust to a minimum and kept an easy access path to the garage for me, as I parked my refrigerator and microwave in the garage during the process. I found it easy to contact the office when I needed to clarify or ask a question as the work went along and I applaude them for persuing me to give me the answer, as I am very hard to get ahold of during working hours. They also were very good at coordinating with my cabinet man and the flooring installer. Very professional job, and my kitchen is beautiful! Thank you Johans and Chris and all the gang!

I highly recommend Argos construction for anyone looking for a great general contractor! We were so impressed with their quality of work and personal relationship we developed with the whole team. Viktor provided us with a complete and detailed estimate of exactly what we wished and desired and then we changed it a bit). Their craftsmanship was amazing, and each person was highly skilled in his trade. I will definitely hire Argos construction again for my next project and recommend them to everyone I know.

Excellent quality work They were especially helpful with navigating the insurance process and helped me secure full payment from the insurance company after a loss and reconstruction. They also helped us complete enough of the project so that family could stay at the holidays.

Kerry arrived on time. I described what I wanted to do which was help in the remodel of a fixer upper. I asked Kerry to show me how to do numerous remodel activities such as demo rooms, fix plumbing, install new electrical devices, repair drywall and I also wanted to pick his brain on the complete bathroom remodel. Kerry was eager to teach and extremely patient. Kerry worked his a** off for the "deal." It is the best bargain on Angie's list and I would highly recommend him although I intend to keep him busy over the next few months. I hired him to come back the next day and was equally pleased with his work. He's also a good guy and very friendly.

Mike did a garage conversion to create a one bedroom apartment in the downstairs unit. The garage was converted to a living room, and the walls had to be cut through to join the new living areas. The new apartment also has its own bathroom and laundry area. The entire area that was remodeled is approximately 750 sq feet. He also installed hardwood flooring and LED can lights, among several other things. Mike definitely has a lot of attention to detail. His price is very competitive and I have been very impressed with everything he has done. He does just fantastic work! All the detail work-window sills, blinds, granite counters, hardwood floors-everything is fantastic! I am very happy with all the work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I would give give him 5 stars!

Doug is a genuine, trustworthy, professional building contractor. He stayed in regular communication with us throughout our garage building project. He made great suggestions along the way and always let us know what our options were. He knows his stuff and stays on top of his subcontractors to ensure the job is done to specifications. The garage turned out great and was completed on schedule. We've worked with several other contractors over the years, and Doug is by far the best. If he makes a commitment, he sticks to it. Already plan to use him for additional home remodeling projects. Miguel on his team is great to work with as well. Can't say enough good things about them.

We hired and worked with Avi previously for medium size remodeling project and upgrade stuff in our house. This time we hired him and his team at Luxcess Home by SOD Builders to remodel our kitchen, laundry room and garage on top of taking care of several other things that we wanted to update for a while but waited till now. We can’t write enough great things about everyone that was involved at our work. The remodeling project was completed on the promised time and mainly within the written budget. They made sure to clean up at the end of each working day to make sure we are satisfied and happy with the work. They came to work every day during the week and on time. We really love the work that they did and we would hire them again without any hesitation. Avi is a perfectionist and that was the main reason that if we will do any other remodeling work… he will be the only person that we would like to have at our house.

This is the second time I hired SOD Builders for my home renovation projects. I decided to use them again because I had a great experience working with Oren and his team last year. This time SOD Builders did a gut renovation of a full floor including a family room, one bathroom, laundry room and finish the garage. The finished house looks just like I envisioned and better! Everyone on Oren’s crew was friendly and helpful - everyone was willing to answer my questions and provide their expert opinions. Every time I had issues, I would email or call Oren directly or his office and they would respond right away to address the issues. The best part about working with Oren is that he is very accommodating to your needs. He will make sure things are done to your liking even if he had to redo parts of the job. For example, I chose some large 40"x12" tiles for an accent wall, a couple of days after the wall was finished, I told Oren that one of the tile felt to be slightly higher than the rest of the tiles when I run my hand over the wall even though it's not obvious from just looking at it, he immediately sent the tile person back to pull out the piece and level it without any questions. Oren stuck to the budget that he gave me on the contract from the beginning - the only time he would charge me more was when I added additional work that I didn't asked for originally (such as updating the electrical panel), but he would give me a quote before any new work is started so I always knew exactly where my budget was. Oren is always very pleasant and professional to work with. I highly recommend SOD Builders and I would hire them again for my future projects.
