THE CARPET LAYERS WERE ON TIME, CLEAN, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THE PRICE WE WERE CHARGED FOR THE CARPET AND THE INSTALLATION OF THE CARPET WAS FAIR.

Mike, the estimator, "miscalculated" his measurements. As a result, the company wanted another $1400 to complete the work. Also, the floor crew was (incorrectly) told that we would put the molding on. The company wanted another $500 to complete the job. Mike promised a floor plan, which he never gave us. Clearly, he was pulling a bait & switch routine, in order to increase the costs. We had to haggle back and forth with him and Dominic to lower the charges incurred for THEIR ERRORS. A terribly stressful experience. I have no confidence in these people at all. In the end, we still had to pay $1400 more than was estimated. Bad, bad experience.

They arrived on time and did a wonderful job of laying the carpet. They moved the furniture and replaced it when completed. They cleaned up and left the room immaculate

They did a very good job. I thought their price was fair. They were very well organized. The laying of the carpet was very skillfully done.

They came out when they said they would. The carpet was layed down and looked nice. The installers were nice and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them for carpet again.

THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND DID AN EXTRA SPECIAL JOB OF REMOVING THE FURNITURE BEFORE LAYING THE PADDING AND CARPET. THE CARPET LOOKS GREAT AND THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS IN REPLACING THE FURNITURE.

The carpet layers arrived punctually and worked nonstop to complete new carpets in a day. They were responsive in doing rooms first which were going to receive furniture that day. They did a beautiful job and we feel we got our money's worth and more.

We thought the technicians were really nice, I think, but am not sure if they were Costco's people. We are not as happy as we thought we were at first. There were some problems. The guy was really nice, but I think it was his helper who broke something and did not tell anybody. He did not tell his boss and did not tell anybody. We found it. The carpet is nice and the salesperson was nice, but the installers were not that great.

Everything was done to the schedule they promised and as agreed on the contract. We has used them before and had no questions about using them again. However, when I got home I was not pleased with the way the final installation looked. There appeared to be a badly taped seam in the carpet where there wasn't supposed to be a seam. We also had a quote for laying all new carpet, but the final contract used about 70 SF less new carpet and included laying existing carpet we had that matched. The final quote, re-using carpet, was more then if we had chosen to lay all new carpet. I called the company but they were closed for the day. Since I had serious concerns about what they had done, I put a stop payment on the final check. When I talked to them on the phone the next day they explained what had happened - and the carpet now looks fine. It wasn't a seam, but the end of the carpet roll and eventually flattened out. I still haven't talked to them about the price inconsistency. Now - here's the unfortunate part. Rather than calling us about the reason for putting a stop payment on the check and working to make us, the customer, satisfied with our experience, they sent our check straight to a collection agency. I find it hard to believe they would do this without first trying to contact us and finding out why. For this lack of customer care, I cannot recommend them for work. The quality of the carpet, the installation, and timeliness were all that I expected. I have no issues with these, they are as good as any other company I've dealt with.

Their arrival was prompt and all business was handled very professionally. The day that they were to install the rugs they removed our old rug which they later hauled away and they did a great job of laying the rug. Overall, |they were not only extremely professional but also excellent at their job.

In both cases, the installers left a bit of a mess behind. So I had to do more than a normal amount of clean-up after they left. Also, I asked if they would fix squeaks in the plywood floor before laying down new carpet and they said no.

The estimate that was reasonable! Bob, who laid the tile was punctual, business like, thorough and highly proficient! We had worn holes in the two layers of flooring of our 37 year old home. We are so happy with the results; considerable time and attention was spent on the edging details for a floor with a complicated geometry. Five Stars is appropriate!

All around job and and quality of work was done perfect!! Will be using him again soon

They were very careful. They went slowly because they wanted it done right. Removed all the old "sticky" gunk under the old vinyl. Prepped the concrete slab, took their time to wait for everything to set, dry, etc. It wasn't "rushed" it was done slowly because they wanted it done right.

The work was done to perfection! Once the date was set for installment, the contractor, Larry, showed up when he said he would and finished when he said he would. Wow, what a novel concept!!! He was thoughtful in answering my questions and made great suggestions for how to lay out the flooring. The manager of the Dublin store was exceptionally helpful in answering my questions and writing up the order. I couldn't have been happier. with the whole job from start to finish.

From start to finish, I was happy with Carpet One. Steve Erling was very informative about carpets and types of wood flooring, then let me take samples home. He later came and measured and got the estimates to me in just a couple days. The installers came as scheduled. The four carpet guys were like a whirlwind; my furniture was moved, old carpet and pad removed and new ones installed in a bedroom, hallway and stairs in less than 2 hours. They were followed by Michael, who did the baseboards. Michael also did the floors downstairs and did a great job in living room, dining room and kitchen -- first class all the way -- followed by baseboards and trim. The place looks terrific. The new flooring was installed on top of the old because the old flooring had been glued, not nailed to the plywood underneath. Michael was always on time, friendly (answered all my questions), obviously knew what he was doing, cleaned up every day, and completed the job ahead of schedule. Total time: less than 5 days.

I was looking for a flooring contractor who would install a floor for me 1) on my schedule 2) for a reasonable price 3) is not a "big box store" driving out the local small businesses. This small business was exactly what I was looking for; personalized service, and decent price. I paid a little higher price than was available, (I had other bids) but my goodness, have you seen the Yelp reviews here? The installers were absolutely seriously superb craftsmen, and nice people to work with as well. I felt like family. I was treated with complete respect from the owner, the bookkeeper, the store keeper guy, and both installers. I have the absolute perfect outcome. This is what honest people do when they are in business to serve their community members. I have plenty of experience in remodel and home building in my life, and this company is a rare find. The installers arrived at the designated time and installed carpet in our bedroom, closet and back hall. They started work as soon as they got here and didn't stop except for a short time taken for lunch, which they ate out front of our house. There were a lot of "nooks and crannies" in laying the carpet and they did a beautiful job on all of them. After installation, they thoroughly vacuumed all of the carpeting twice to get up the stray bits. They were thoroughly enjoyable to work with and did an excellent job. This whole wonderful experience started with Ronn Williams and ended with a perfect job well done.

Not only were Ken and Georgia patient with our lengthy decision process, but once the decision was made and the work scheduled, their people were right on top of the job. They did the work deftly, and left the place spotless.

Paul of Conklin Brothers in San Mateo quoted us for installation of wool carpet in two bedrooms. Paul knows his business and was very professional, taking time to explain our options without any sales pressure. We showed him a floor squeak and an unlevel area that, if possible, we wanted to fix when our new carpet was installed. He had a lot of confidence in his installation crew, but said he could not guarantee the results of the repair. Our new wool carpet was not cheap, but we believe the price was fair. And Jose and crew did fix the noisy floorboard. The carpet looks great. We would recommend Conklin Bros of San Mateo.
