They gave us some advice and options on how to avoid them in the future. They did a pretty good job and I would recommend them to others.

They were very good, and very patient. They brought a dog out to sniff around the apartment several times, very thorough. They were so busy though, I had to wait 8 days for them to come out. Once they were done, it gave me piece of mind. I wish they could have come sooner.

So far, they have been great. These people seem to use the current products for treating the correct bugs. The first company I used didn't but these guys did. They were also thorough.

He came over and dealt with it. He came out three times. He did an excellent job. The health department got involved, because I was a little freaked out. He had reasonable prices for the work. I give him high marks for calling back, explaining the situation, giving me feedback, etc. I give them all A’s for their services. I would call them back out in the future.

I did not pay anything and it was really a wonderful thing because I was really panicked, as one would be. He did not come out, I just sent him a photograph with a little something for scale and he said it was a garden bug, not a bed bug. So that was the end of it. What stood out was that they were knowledgeable. My interaction with them was great. They gave me advice free and it was piece of mind. That was really professional of them to help. It was simple to them, but pretty distressing to me. They were very responsive.

The price sounded very high and they don't give any guarantee. We want them to guarantee their work.

We felt that we had a problem with bed bugs, so the man came to our home and inspected it for us. It was determined that we didn't have bed bugs, but the man really didn't seem to know what it was we had. He was right in determining that we didn't have this infestation, he didn't seem to be all that educated, as to what it is we did have. We have since contacted another company who helped us.

We had a issue with insect bites in our bed room and first we called a bed bug company. They just did the spray without detecting the bed bug and charged us $1,500. Then, the situation didn't improve. We called a K-9 bed bug detection company and it turned out that we had no bed bugs. They suspect it might be some kind of mites. They recommended The Hitmen Termite & Pest Control and I gave it a shot. My technician, Vince came over and treated the bed room and set up some traps and rodent traps outside since our backyard is facing an open field.Also, we had a lot of spider webs and insects outside even though we had a bi-monthly pest control service from other company. So we switched to The Hitmen Termite & Pest Control for the bi-monthly pest control and Vince always spends good amount of time spraying eco friendly material thoroughly even arbors and fences, setting up rodent traps and removing all spider webs.We are very happy to have service from them and they really respect our unique family situation such as dogs and a baby.I highly recommend this business!!!

It turned out I didn't have bed bugs and this technician violated their procedure because they aren't suppose to spray for bed bugs unless there is evidence of bed bugs. So I went through this horrible experience. I ended up throwing away lots of clothes and washing absolutely everything. It was a nightmare for 2 or 3 weeks. I'm still reeling from it. Now it's nearly two months later. I refused to pay because Orkin failed to follow procedure. I've had two long phone conversations with managers. Both were courteous and reasonable. I believe they are genuinely sorry the spraying took place. Given that the spraying happened, I believe Orkin has acted professionally and reasonably, so I have upgraded their ratings. I hope that now they're less likely to spray for bedbugs without hard evidence.

When we had a bed bug scare, online research on bed bugs and businesses that do detection and extermination led me to Scent Tek. When I phoned to inquire about their services, they were very generous with their time, knowledge and advice. They spent 30 minutes on the phone with me, asking questions, answering my questions, explaining their services, and explaining possible methods of extermination (which they don't provide), should we discover that we had a bed bug infestation. Never did they pressure me to hire them. Later that day, we decided to engage their services and they came the very next morning (a Saturday). They were very punctual, well dressed, very polite and friendly. They looked at our daughter's welt-riddled arms and commented that the welts looks smaller than bed bug bites, but they couldn't be sure. They explained once again what they and their dogs would do to search the home. We opened some drawers, pulled bedding back, opened closet doors, made all our suitcases and other travel cases/purses, etc. available to the dogs. The search was surprisingly quick, but very thorough. We were fortunate to have a happy ending. No bed bugs were detected (to the disappointment of the dogs, I think). It turned out that our daughter's welts were the result of a virus. I would absolutely hire Scent Tek again if needed. Moreover, I highly recommend the company to anyone dealing with the possibility of a bed bug infestation.

When I discovered that we had bugs in our house I freaked out. It was hard to reach anyone because this was right around the holidays but Kevin from Scent Tek called back and practically on NYE and talked to me to set up an appointment as soon as he was available. The best part of it was that he made me feel better about this crappy situation we were in and that it can be solved. Truly professional and nice to speak to. We had the original inspection with Brent and his awesome dog. After that we had multiple inspections (to clear house after treatments). We found a bug in the house between the two treatments and both Kevin and Brent came by the house to inspect independently for double confirmation. They are so nice to work with and just awesome guys. They also gave us amazing discount after the original treatment. I would recommend that everyone who suspects that they have bedbugs in their house get these guys in to do a canine inspection to determine where all you need to treat. They were super helpful and truly professional and saved us money down the line on realizing which areas of the house did not have to be treated.

After I visited my sister in Florida, she called me and told me she had a major bed bug inspection, so I needed to get an inspection at my house. She told me she hired a company that used dogs to sniff out the bed bugs, which she said was the best way to find them. I researched the pest control companies on Angie's List and found Scent Tek. They have dogs they call Sherlock Hounds (very cute name) who are trained to sniff out bed bugs. Scent Tek does not do the work to get rid of any bed bugs that are found; they just identify if you have an infestation and if so can refer you to other companies to get rid of the bed bugs. By not doing that work, Scent Tek has no incentive to tell you that you have bed bugs in your house when you don't. That is a big positive. I emailed Scent Tek one night with some questions and the next morning received an email response and a phone call. I spoke to Kevin, who is one of the owners and who was very helpful and took the time to answer all of my many questions. I was concerned that they would not be able to do a proper bed bug inspection because I had so much and quot;stuffand quot; all over my house. Kevin assured me that unlike a visual inspection by a person, the Sherlock Hounds need very little space to sniff out the bed bugs, and we would only need to move things if the dog smelled any bed bugs. I was relieved that I did not have to clean up a very cluttered house before they arrived. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. I was very happy that they were able to come so quickly. On the day of the appointment Kevin and Sherlock Hound Rhys arrived on time. Rhys is the cutest little doggie you can imagine. Kevin explained how he would work with Rhys throughout the house. Although I was not allowed inside the rooms while Rhys worked, I was allowed to stand right outside each room and watch. When he was ready, Kevin threw a ball into each room and Rhys followed the ball into the room, and then sniffed around the room, with Kevin prompting Rhys to make sure Rhys sniffed around the entire room. This was repeated in each of the rooms. It was quite an interesting process. In the bedroom, where I had unpacked my suitcase after returning from Florida, Kevin visually inspected my bed in addition to Rhys' inspection. Lucky for me, Kevin and Rhys did not find any bed begs. He said he was a green chemical user but when he came to my house it was not a green chemical. We just hired him to come out for bed bugs but when he came out he said that I told him it was for bed bugs and fleas. What they came here with was three aerosol precor 2000 cans which is only for fleas. He was trying to tell me that this was to treat both but according to the label it only says it treats fleas. They ended up using all three cans and left the cans at my mother's house. They never dismantled the bed, took the dressers out, or spray behind other furniture. It also says on his profile that he honors a senior discount and he never did this for my mother who is 84. The bed bugs are still alive and well.

Extremely professional and helpful......every step fully explained. I learned a great deal about European rat mites (I had thought we had bed bugs) and am happy to say that the problem is solved......no more bites!!!

They had given me a list of to do prep work before they came to my house. They were on time. Once they arrived at my place they went over what they will do and how it will help me and then started the work. they were done with in 2 hours. They did a thorough job. They came back to my house after two weeks to see if there were any bed bugs, if yes they would spray more medicine. Luckyly they found no bedbugs. I called them after a month for a doubt that my wife had regarding a bug we had found, they came by promptly and explained. Touch wood we do not have any bed bugs now, it has been a year since we got their service.

Discovering that we had bed bugs in our house was one of the most devastating things that has happened to me. The ATCO team responded very quickly considering that this was right around the holidays. After the initial inspection, the team that came to the house was super amazing in the work they did. They disposed of all the furniture (carried everything down L shaped stairs) heated +steamed the three rooms. They also brought a truck with a heated chamber to treat bunch of the furniture in our garage that we were storing for someone (the source of the bed bugs). It was all done in one day. About a month later we discovered a bug in a non-treated area and panicked. ATCO got a team out fairly quickly and treated that same room plus hallway again. I stayed home that day and went up to the room while there were working in it and within a minute i thought I was going to pass out in the heat. These guys really work in harsh conditions and I hope that the company is treating their employees really well. The guys were super nice and friendly. I've waited a long time to write the review because I was afraid that we'd find more bugs... but we seem to be clear. I really like that the ATCO was able to deal with this in just two 1-day treatments without any chemicals. The price for the heat treatments seems expensive but I think it is totally worth it because you get the bugs out quickly and no chemicals used, especially if you have children.

They were very generous with their time and knowledge. We scheduled an inspection for the next morning. They were punctual, professionally dressed, very friendly and even had business cards for their dogs. They were extremely thorough, both in gathering information from us and in inspecting our home. To our great relief, no pests were found. But, thanks to Scent Tek, we felt we had sufficient information to know how we would have treated our home had it been necessary.

I thought Scent-Tek was great and very professional. The company is run by two brothers and one of the brothers came. They have several trained dogs and they get them at the pound which I like. The technician had a little vile of bed bugs which is used to make sure the dog is sniffing for the right thing. I thought the service was excellent. and the price was reasonable. The only thing I didn't like was that the technician said the dog was 90 percent accurate - which left a 10 percent chance I had bedbugs. This alarmed me but the technician said he was confident there wasn't any. And as it turned out, he was right. The promptness of the company's responsive was excellent. I filled out a request online on Sunday afternoon and they called me Sunday night and scheduled the sniffing for Monday. They arrived on time. I should point out a mistake I made. When I thought I had bedbugs I should have called Scent-Tek but instead I called an exterminator. The exterminator came and sprayed my bedroom for bedbugs - this violated company policy because they found no evidence of bedbugs beyond my itchy welts. After they sprayed the bedroom I got worried the bedbugs might have spread to the rest of the house and called Scent-Tek. If I'd called Scent-Tek first I'd have same myself a great deal of work and turmoil and unpleasantness. In the future if I think I have bedbugs, I'll called Scent-Tex first.
