    Hello Simon.

I’m going to do some tests on your plugin, and if it does what it promises this is great news, as I’ve read in several places that browsers don’t allow the site to force the cache to be cleared.

So I would like to better understand how your plugin works ok? if you can answer me, thank you immensely.

01 – Does your plugin completely disable the browser cache?
Doing so that any page accessed is always downloaded in full every time it is accessed?

02 – If a user accesses an “X” page at 12:00, and after that he / she continues browsing among other pages of the site.

And in the meantime the webmaster, change something like: (the color of the navigation bar, or a text from the “X” page).

When the user returns the page “X” at 12: 30h he will see the changes without having to send the browser to reload the page?

That is, when accessing the “X” page after it has been modified, the Browser will always check the server for any changes and then download the new version ?,
Or is it necessary to reload the Browser manually to update it?

Well, I did a test and it looks like the plugin is not delivering as promised.

01 – No woocomerce I created 2 products with the word “burger” in the title.
02 – I did a search and the result was the two “burger” products, as expected.
03 – I then registered a third product containing the word “burger” and published it.
04 – Returning to the site, I made a new search, and only the first 2 products were being returned.
05 – Only after refreshing the page did the third product appear in the search results.

01 – Continuing the tests, I clicked on the product page, and opened it so that I could view the product description.
02 – So I updated the description, and saved the changes.
03 – I clicked on the logo to go to the home page, did a search again for the term “burger” and the product was displayed, but without changing the description. (It was clear that search results are not updated by your plugin).
04 – Then I clicked on the product displayed in the search results. and also the description displayed there is still the browser cache.
05 – Again, only after executing a refresh in the browser, the changes were displayed. and I could see the updated description.

Anyway, your plugin is not doing anything that WordPress hasn’t done before.

The browser uses the local cache, and only updates after refreshing the page.

If you can explain to me what may be happening I am grateful, because I did not notice any changes after activating the plugin.

    Thankful.

I think you have misunderstood what this plugin does.
It adds modification times to all assets like css is and images so when they are updated your users always get the right files.
It does nothing for browser caching or defeating host page caching. It is for files only.
