Jetpack was indeed updated to fix a security vulnerability earlier today. You can read more about it here:

We worked with the WordPress.org Security Team to release the bug fix (just the bug fix, nothing else) and automatically update all sites that were using vulnerable versions of the plugin. This automatic update system is the same system that your WordPress site relies on to automatically update to a new version of WordPress when a new minor, security release is available. While mostly used to update WordPress itself, it is sometimes useful when security vulnerabilities are found in plugins, like Jetpack today.
In conclusion, your site was automatically updated to a safe version of Jetpack. You’re still running an older version of Jetpack, but your version doesn’t include the security vulnerability anymore. You’re safe!
If you’d like to update to the latest version of Jetpack (and I would recommend doing so if possible), you can do so under the Plugins menu in your dashboard.
I hope this clarifies things a bit.
