Toy Library Association South Africa

The Toy Library Association South Africa

TLASA is a networking organisation that promotes best practice in the field of toy libraries. We are a registered Non-profit organisation (NPO 237-525).

As a multi-sectoral stakeholder forum representing toy libraries in South Africa, we view to influence Africa and the world’s perception of the role of toy libraries in society.

What we do?

TLASA acts as an advocacy vehicle aimed at promoting effective practice principles for toy libraries, and setting the norms and standards for toy libraries. The association also provides relevant toy library information and recognised training to toy librarians. TLASA is affiliated to the International Toy Library Association.

Join our 2-day online conference exploring the role of toy libraries as essential community hubs. We plan to demonstrate the different roles a Toy Library can play in a community. We will cover play-based learning, caregiver training, toy-making and networking with community structures.

Registrations are open internationally, and the content can be applied to any context you operate toy libraries in.

Cost: R150pp (20% discount for TLASA members)
