"Clifton Contracting was a pleasure to work with. They are reliable and very professional. They bring so much experience to the job. Our basement looks fabulous with our new egress window. They gave us the best value for our home improvement budget."
"J. S. Jackson was a pleasure to work with. They installed an egress window in our basement which allowed us to then have the basement finished. They did an excellent job! They were very professional and courteous. "
"Working with Ossa home repair was an impressive experience from start to finish. We had seen what a wonderful job they had done on our neighbors deck. Our deck was in awful condition and I was surprised when Mr. Johnny told me that much of my wood was in good condition. He could have told me i needed to replace the entire deck! His team repaired the top railings and rebuilt the fence door, power washed and painted our deck and I honestly canâ t believe itâ s the same deck. It truly looks brand new. I also had water damage on our dining room ceiling and a hole had been cut through the drywall. His team repaired the drywall, finished the ceiling and painted, and that also looks totally amazing. Everyone working for Ossa home repair was professional, courteous, and amazingly thorough. I wouldnâ t think about using anyone from Ossa home repair for all of our future projects (bathrooms will be next!). Five stars. "
"the associates were extremely professional and uniquely qualified. I was completely satisfied with the outcome. I would certainly recommend Salty Dog and would use them again for any future projects "
"I manage a condominium community in Arlington. One building needed a foundation modification due to a rodent infiltration. The work performed was essential and done well. The issue was resolved. More recently, Structural was hired again for surface water management on a sidewalk low area where they installed Ecoraster blocks that collect and direct water off the sidewalk. They also applied this Ecoraster solution to a hillside next to a building that was eroding badly. The solution is excellent. Pat does a good job of listening and recommending appropriate solutions for the issue."
Egress windows are special windows designed to allow people to escape from areas like basements in case of a house fire or other emergency. New zoning laws require many homeowners ensure accessible windows for residents.
If you're considering adding a new egress window, then you need to calculate whether or not your home can handle the construction. A professional can measure the area, check its structural safety, and then make sure there's sufficient moisture drainage to prevent mold and decay.
Navigating egress safety codes can be difficult for an inexperienced homeowner. To find professional egress window installers in your area, enter your zip code. HomeAdvisor will connect with prescreened services near you.
