    Hello @nbatchelor

Also, you need to assign VAT/Tax into every product/events, Please open a Product or Event as edit mode you will see the Tax Section, Select the tax from the dropdown which you want to assign. It should work let me know if it’s not.

N:B: Please use the latest version of the event plugin.

    Thanks

@aamahin Awesome. Can’t believe I missed that. All sorted.

    My issue is resolved.

I’m having this issue. I have added a tax for Ontario in the Standard Rates section of woocommerce, settings, tax, but it is not calculating tax, even though I have also asked for General tax to be applied. There is only one tax that I’ve listed as it is a local product. Should I be putting it somewhere else as well?

    Thank you.

I am having this issue as well. My tax setting are the same as @nbatchelor and I already have the tax status on all products set to taxable. I’m not sure what I’m missing?

@beelinespeedmachine You need look on the event details page and there will be options in the right-hand sidebar:
    Tax Options

    Hope that helps

I’m sorry, it’s not for an event. It’s for our products.

I would recommend posting on the Woocommerce forum: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

    I will, thank you!

I had this trouble and I had it set up but it wasn’t showing. I wasn’t using the correct shortcode for the province in the tax settings. I had typed in Ontario rather than ON. It was that simple. I was using WooCommerce with Square, so it was related to that.

Good luck, these things can take ages to figure out and be so frustrating and then you find out it is something silly.

@germars your comment is actually what helped me figure it out! I had CA for the state code but I needed it set for the entire US, and when I backed it out it all started working again! THANK YOU!!!!

I’m so glad that I was able to help. It is amazing what stops things from working correctly. Happy that it is working now.
    Take care!
