    Hi, folks
    thanks for great work on this plugin; been using it on our news portals last couple of years without issue.

    However, latest version, 1.7.11, does not pull in videos at all with any setting, and working API, and had to disable to get videos to work at all.

    I had not backed up, 1.7.10 – curious if this is still downloadable. Not getting a console error, and disabling other funky plugins like scripts to footer, etc., do not impact ’empty space’ issue with 1.7.11 on *all* videos sitewide.

    Happy to help debug, as super useful plugin for us 🙂

    Running latest WordPress on dedicated server, latest PHP 7.3.13x; using WP since 2004, so not a newbie.

    Chris

    OK, do you have a staging site which you could leave broken for some time so I can look into this this weekend or so?

    OK, can you indeed try with 1.17.0, download here: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wp-youtube-lyte.1.7.10.zip (you can download any version, just change the version number in the URL).

    Shazam. Working again with 1.17.0

    ok, so do you use any code to hook into LYTE’s API (specifically lyte_parse to render your videos?

    Hi
    no tricky bits; using in default mode – meaning simply placing video URLs, unlinked, on one line per normal WP practice.

    ok … based on the HTML you seem to have something adding the following to links;

    class="autohyperlink" data-wpel-link="internal"

    guessing that is a plugin, does LYTE work when you (temporarily) disable that autohyperlink plugin?

    Thread Starter neotrope

    (@neotrope)

    Hm. Okay, that does work with latest version of your plugin, with the auto-hyperlink disabled; although that has not been an issue in the past.

    I added these to the ‘do not touch’ URLs for the plugin and does not work either

    https://youtube.com
    https://www.youtube.com/
    https://www.youtube.com
    https://youtu.be
    youtube.com
    youtu.be

    So, an actual rare plugin conflict! Oh no! 😉

    what plugin is that specifically Chris?

    OK, tested and adding www.youtube.com to the “Exclude domains” field worked for me (so not https:// and no trailing slash), can you try that?

    Thread Starter neotrope

    (@neotrope)

    doh. And of course that was the one iteration I didn’t add to the ‘exclude list’ …
    YES: this is now working.

    Thanks for help debugging that. It’s only been with latest update that issue came up.

    But this solution solved it!
