I find that in my work role, I'm in a continuous state of leaning forward. The only way that I don't fall on my face is by continuously adjusting and readjusting and compensating. This what leadership feels like to me. It's not a bad thing, but if I stay still, I will faceplant.

an unspoken truth in the tech is how much of a racket executive coaching industry is there's so. much. money. being funneled into coaches of dubious skill/morality who know exactly how to take advantage of young and/or low-EQ leaders of extremely well-funded startups

I think my main tip for writing educational comics is to first explain the concept out loud to a real person a few times and make sure you can actually explain it in a way they understand in 5 minutes

Following is equivalent to having a crystal ball to see 5 years into the future of tech. All this "breaking news" now: blowing of whistles, election disinformation, tryna blame Black folks for corps own economic poor performance, we could have known years ago.🤷🏿‍♂️

Just taking a moment to reflect on the past few weeks of coaching calls, in which my clients are doing phenomenal, challenging (goopy!) work. It feels like such an honor to support them. My clients are always great, but it's been especially over-the-top *incredible* recently.

In case you're not watching this trend, 2021 has seen labor strikes across multiple industries and more are coming. It's not just the great resignation. It's the great renegotiation of workers rights! ✊🏽

Hey, fellow north-folks: I don't mean to get in your business but it's October. If you use a light box to get through winter, you could start using it today instead of hauling it out of the attic in two weeks when you're already feeling miserable. Good luck. You've got this.♥️
