Léa Lacroix Community Engagement Coordinator Wikimedia Deutschland 👧 About me Hello there! I’m Léa, working in the software department of Wikimedia Germany. My role consists in supporting and empowering the Wikidata community and other technical Wikimedia communities to work with each other and create great projects. I’m coordinating several events related to Wikidata: the international conference WikidataCon (the first editions of the conference took place in Berlin in 2017 and 2019, the last one was an online event organized with Wiki Movimento Brasil in 2021), the Wikidata distributed birthday, a series of online events (30 Lexic-o-days, Data Quality Days), as well as various other meetups, workshops and gatherings. I’m also supporting projects run by volunteers and other Wikimedia organizations, for example the Celtic Knot 2020 and Arctic Knot 2021, the remote hackathons in 2020 and 2021, and the Wikidata MOOC. From 2016 to 2020, I’ve been taking care of communication between the Wikidata development team and the community.
