Checklist for removing access when a deputy is inactive

Here’s the list of things we need to do when a deputyDeputy Community Deputies are a team of people all over the world who review WordCamp and Meetup applications, interview lead organizers, and generally keep things moving at WordCamp Central. If you are assisting with changing the deputy to inactive, please Communicate with the deputy about removing access chat or a discussion, before starting the process. Once confirmed, follow the following procedure:

  • Remove access to all Inboxes of Help Scout for that deputy.
  • Mark them as ‘Inactive’ in the Community Deputies list.
  • Change their user role in WordCamp Central to “Subscriber”.
  • Ask a #Meta-WordCamp developer to remove the deputy from the @deputies group in Making WP SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/..
  • Ask a #Meta-WordCamp developer to remove the deputy’s access to the Meetup and WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy.   • Remove the deputy from #community-deputies Slack channel
