John painted many rooms in our home last year. Excellent job. Still looks great. Thoughtful, courteous young man in dealing with us. Not only was his painting ability top tier but each evening he cleaned up behind himself which made this two week job easier for us to live with each day. I could go on and on but just call him for any painting you need done. You will be happy with the result.

John was extremely professional throughout the job. He is very knowledgeable about what he does and it shows. We have a room with a vaulted ceiling with a lot of angles and he was able to get it all repaired and painted within a short amount of time. Our walls look better than I ever thought they would considering all the nails and bumps from removing a chair rail and old security system boxes. He also (very kindly) gave us some advice on how to do some other paint jobs that we want to tackle ourselves. I can't recommend him highly enough; we will definitely hire him again if we have future work and will also recommend him to friends and family. Thanks John!

Awesome. They helped pull up a couple floor nails we hadn't been able to pull up, were very prompt, friendly and gave great advice. The floor looks great.

He was very non-obtrusive in the house, has a very professional demeanor, and he was the greatest.

From beginning to end nothing but professional. Free in home estimate, and totally amazing workmanship. Very reasonable price. He also puts you in contact with a color consultant, which was awesome! Can't wait to have him come back and do the rest of the house.

John was professional, responsive and above all else very skilled at his trade. We got off to a slow start at first, but John was upfront about his backlog of exterior work and needed to take advantage of good weather days in order to accomodate previous commitments. He had hoped to have a crew come in and be done with our rather large job in just a couple days, but instead of rescheduling and delaying further, he came in and did the entire job himself!! He was quick, efficient and did what it took to get it done! He completed the project in just over 4 days!! He kept the work space clean and tidy. Which I thought was impressive considering we were painting the entire main level of our house. He was also very considerate of the fact that we have two small children. Even taking the time to entertain my 2 year olds barrage of questions! As for cost, given the amount of work done, the high quality materials he used and efficiency with which the job was completed, I'd say it was a bargain!! We will definitely use John and Absolute Painting for ALL of our future painting projects!

The work was excellent and now over one year later everything still looks as fresh as the day it was completed. Service took 2-1/2 days with minimal interruption to my schedule. I plan to hire again for additional areas inside the house. The service was performed on time and the work was of the highest quality.

John, the owner, did the work himself. He's professional, organized and what stood out the most was that he really takes pride in his work. Our deck looks beautiful!

John was extremely easy to deal with. Since this season is busy with exterior painting, and we were willing to be flexible with scheduling, he was able to come out on a rainy day and perform the work much sooner than otherwise would be possible. He showed up on time ready to go, was careful to protect all of our walls, floors, and furniture, and completed the work efficiently. He also got along well with our dog. We ended up paying him a little bit more than he'd asked for because we added some additional scope of work. Even though he said he'd still do it for the quoted price, we were impressed enough that we wanted to pay for the extra work. We'll definitely be using John/Absolute for our painting needs in the future!

Absolute Painting just completed painting the exterior of our house and they did a fabulous job! We had received 5 quotes and Absolute Painting was the lowest by 20%. Don?t let that fool you, the quality of the work was awesome. John Scott, the owner, did all of the work. The house was power washed, scraped, primed and then two coats of Hirshfield?s paint were applied. John applied an area of paint by the sprayer and then rolled and/or brushed the paint into the wood. It turned out that he had to do a lot more scrapping (and thus priming) then he bid but he did not raise the price. When completed, the job site was professionally cleaned up and none of our landscaping was affected. We will definitely use Absolute Painting for any future painting needs at our house!

I left a message re: needing an exterior door refinished and was promptly called back within 3 business hours. Turns out that he was booked through the start of September. I appreciated the quick call back.

Attention to quality of color and wall prep was good. The contractor used a subcontractor to complete the work as the contractor was "busy" on another project. Painting project was rushed and many areas of the the walls still have nail pops and seams that show. I haired a professional painter to have professionally looking painted walls, but that was not the case. They did come back to address some of the issues, but the owner was irritated to have to come back and shrugged off concerns about the quality of the work.

Working with John was easy and professional. He and his crew did a great job and only took two days to complete. I would work with this company in the future and would recommend them to anyone who asks.

It was a good experience. He did a really good job, he was thorough, and he gave me good advice about other painting things. He was nice, he was professional, and he cleaned up well.

Decided to go with vinyl siding instead. They were a good candidate for the painting job, though.

Overall it went well. They got the job completed on time and did a great job cleaning up after themselves.

None of the work has been done yet. I have canceled the exterior painting project because the contractor really discouraged me from doing that. The owner of Absolute Painting & Finishing was very upfront when he said he hadn't done such work before and that he would have to research and see what kind of adhesives he would have to use. He was very prompt in his response to my enquiry. I think I heard from him within 24 to 48 hours. He himself came out to give the bid for the project. He was very personable. He gave me his background and asked me if I wanted any references. He was just wonderful. I had full confidence after talking to him. We have already discussed to do some future projects.

The guy who came for the quote seemed to be nice and respectable. I didn't use their service because they were markedly higher in price than the other quotes I received. They were little on a slower side and it just seemed like it took longer to connect with them.

John does expert painting work, but more than that he goes above and beyond to make suggestions and do the extra things that sometimes come up along the way (removing ugly wallpaper that I didn't find until the frig was removed, fixing other poorly done painting). The use of a color consultant was a big help to me in this particular project as I was indecisive about paint colors. The fact that John partners with Hirshfields make the process easy.

John is very professional and pleasant to deal with. His communication is detailed and timely - you know exactly what will be done and how much it will cost. I liked his work so much that I hired him for a second round of interior painting in June 2010. Of all the people I've hired from Angie's List (and there have been many), John is tops! I can't recommend him highly enough.

John was very professional - chose not to go with him based on availably and the level of service needed with regards to moving the furniture on our home during the painting process. Quote was comparable to others that I received for the same job.
