Caution
At a minimum, the VIP Platform recommends the highest point release possible for your version of Woo to include security protections. We recommend staying current with the most recent release (currently v5.5.1) which you can download from the WooCommerce website.
WooCommerce is free eCommerce plugin authored by Automattic and compatible with with WordPress single sites and multisites on VIP Go.
The WooCommerce plugin can be downloaded and installed by following VIP’s documentation for adding WordPress plugins to a VIP application.
For some sites on the VIP Go platform, WooCommerce might perform as expected without code modifications. However, customization for WooCommerce might be needed based on the size of a product list, the volume of orders received each day (or hour), the number of countries where transactions can occur, and more.
It is recommended for VIP customers to have their own development team to handle WooCommerce customizations, caching optimizations, perform plugin upgrades and troubleshooting, as well as applying best practices for all aspects of application development and management.
