Grant access to edit widgets in sidebar

    I want to grant access to someone to be able to add, edit or delete widget in a sidebar, but not do anything else in the Appearance tab. Is this possible.

    Unfortunately, WordPress has a hard-coded check for the edit_theme_options capability in wp-admin/widgets.php. Basically, this means that plugins like Members cannot offer granular control over things like widgets and nav menus until this check is changed.

    Over the years, several tickets have been filed to fix this issue but none have gone through. I’m losing hope. 🙂
