As an Opto-Mechanical Engineer at Facebook Reality Labs (FRL), you will help research, design, and develop state-of-the-art solutions, mechanisms, and prototypes for next generation Augmented Reality consumer products that will create transformative user experiences. You will become part of a hardware-centric research team exploring creative new technical solutions from initial concept development, prototype design, analytical modeling, tooling design, and fast iterative prototyping. The position will support multiple research areas as the mechanical engineering expert in the hardware R&D; environment to prove initial viability and firmly establish the technology. The position will also be responsible for technical management of subject matter expert partner vendors. The role may help in transferring the technology to product design teams, but will not be involved in designing the shipping high-volume product.
