Thumbnail created same size as original image

    Hi,

    I’m uploading an image 465×465 at 21KB. Once I click Regenerate Thumbnails, the plugin creates a thumb image-465×465.jpg at 74KB, which is the same size as the original but heavier. Even though, I have checked Skip regenerating existing correctly sized thumbnails (faster).

    Can you give an explanation?

    What happens when you upload the image for the first time? The same sized thumbnails are created I assume?

    same problem here. with new images and old images..can’t get it out of sizes. My images are 800 x 600 average 50 kb, creates a new one with 768 x 576 and 90 kb!
    even add a code with removing the image name in functions …no changes at all
    Like to hear a good solution 🙂
