Support » Plugin: Gutenberg » Columns/Groups/Blocks Icon are STUPID!

  • That first and second icon is the stupidest joke in Guternberg.

Column, group, blocks, convert group, select column, transform to block, transform to group really gets on my nerve. As a technical person, I can’t even understand what is going on after a few clicks of switching back and forth columns and blocks and groups. It mess up the entire layout and can’t even undo. No way any normal person can use this.

I really want to love Gutenberg but this mess makes me wonder the brains behind the concept. Why make things so difficult to use and understand?

  • @astralliquid thanks for your feedback – I’m bummed you’re having such a bad experience. Can you explain a bit more what you’re finding tricky? It sounds like it might be navigating between levels of content. If so, I’d recommend using List View:

Otherwise, please know that you’re welcome to open specific issues in the Gutenberg repo:

The lack of guide borders, lines, sections makes it extremely hard to know what is happening. If you click on column, group or blocks mutliplte times, the size and margin changes without any indication what is happening.

As I read all the bad review and the response provided, it is quite clear you guys are indenial of all the issues everyone is complaining. You might not feel the problem since you are all so technical and smart. But for us normal users of WordPress this is a sad time. And no one is listening.
