Can we clarify what polyfills are we removing from view.js scripts here? I actually thought all our scripts didn't include any polyfill because we have a separate wp-polyfill dependency for all of them?

In WP-Admin, we always set wp-polyfill as a dependency for all script handles used in Gutenberg. It was a simplification because it's hard to tell which bundle really requires those polyfills. The assumption that @aristath makes here is that scripts on the frontend are way simpler so they might not need the polyfill at all.

Exactly. We may need wp-polyfill in the editor, but on the frontend it's not required. Frontend scripts are simple and loading wp-polyyfill for them is a waste of resources. If a specific scripts in the future needs them, we can add them on that script instead of everywhere 👍

Works for me 👍 If I understood properly, we don't add wp-polyfill as a dependency of frontend scripts because we usually don't need it in these "small" scripts..
