  My house was designed by my late husband, and was invaded by woodpeckers. Even though the house is in a wooded area, the woodpeckers decided to peck p n my house rather than the surrounding trees. Repairs had been made, but they continued to damage the house,garage,etc. I thought there had to be a better, more permanent solution. A contractor had given me QuincyBarrett's information, the owner of Crown Pointe Remodeling. I contacted him, explained the problem, and what I had researched as a possible solution. He listened, and asked when I would be available for him to come to assess the damage, and to offer options, and/ or solutions. Quincy came out two days later, walked around the house,and garage, asked questions, and I explained that the integrity of the house had to remain as close as possible to the original. He understood. Explained how all could be accomplished by using a vinyl siding by Board and Batten. Animals cannot peck or chew. It is basically animal proof. The windows and doors would be wrapped giving it a more finished look. I was excited, but also hesitant about the project. I decided to go forward, and Quincy was very helpful answering all of my questions, and concerns. So I moved forward with the project. My daughters live in NYC, and they were kept up to date, and Quincy answered their questions as well. When it was time to choose the colors, Quincy brought the samples, took pictures, and sent them to my daughters so they could see the samples alongside the existing color of the house in real time. Once the colors were chosen, it was time to order. That was April 27th, 2021. The siding, trim,etc. were delivered May 28th, 2021. Tuesday, June 1st, Juan, and Antonio, the crew came, and began working. They were hard workers, businesslike, and perfectionist. They started working as soon as they arrived, and continued until dusk, and some days later. They completed the siding on Monday, June14th. The next team came on June 16th, 2021 to replace the gutters, downspouts, and screening. Ian Miller was the foreman on the project, and he was readily available to answer any questions or concerns. I was very pleased with the outcome. The transformation is unbelievable!!! I would refer Quincy Barrett, and the Crown Pointe Remodeling Company to anyone looking for a REAL PROFESSIONAL company, and crew!!

  We hired Van Martin Roofing to reroof our 3000 sq ft (approx) in March 2013. Last week, we had my wife's bathroom extensively remodeled--to include installing a new vent fan. When the workers were venting the fan to the roof outlet, they noticed substantial wetness in the attic insulation. When they tore out the existing soffit over the tub/shower area, they found about two gallons of water suspended in plastic sheathing (which they pumped out). I immediately called Van Martin (3/29/21)--as we have a 10-year warranty on labor and a 50-year warranty on the shingles. The lady I spoke with (Cheryl) was very friendly and professional. She verified my warranty information and said their scheduler (Stephanie) would contact me soon to schedule repairs. Stephanie called me on Monday (4/5/21) and said their techs would be out on Tuesday between 12:00 and 1:30PM. She called again Tuesday morning to say, due to a schedule change, the techs could be there a couple hours earlier. The techs (Gene and Scott) arrived about 10:30AM and I explained the situation to them. They inspected the roof (and attic area) and found several "nail pops" where some of the shingles had risen up. They also found that a collar on one of the vent stack pipes had separated from the roof. All probably due to freezing/thawing over the years. They made the necessary repairs and went on their way. They were also very professional and friendly--answering all my questions and explaining what they'd found during their inspection. All in all, it was a great customer service experience. No hassles, prompt scheduling, thorough repairs. Easy peasy

  tl;dr - Mr. Roof will abandon you as a customer, do poor work, not honor any credit you might receive for damage, and threaten you with collections, even if you pay. Overall, terrible follow up, and worse customer service. Full review: The gutter installers were mostly fine, but they did damage my property, and they had to rehang a section of gutter due to poor pitch. Decent guys, but not good work. The real problems with Mr. Roof are in the office. I will never do business with this company again. Due to the damage the installers caused, the project manager, Doug agreed to a $50 credit on my invoice. The credit was not issued, and Mr. Roof started threatening to place a lien on my property and send my account to collection - despite that they did not honor the credit, and did not invoice for the agreed upon amount. How is a customer supposed to pay if the amount Mr. Roof is invoicing for is not correct? Here's a timeline of the events on my account: 06/12/2020 Pre sales consultation, and 50% down payment. 2-3 weeks promised. 07/06/2020 I contact Cincinnati office to try and schedule the work, call back is promised 07/13/2020 I contact Cincinnati office again trying to schedule the job, again a call back is promised 07/14/2020 Mr Roof contacts me, and schedules the gutters to be installed on 07/22/2020. 07/22/2020 Gutters installed, my property is damaged 07/23/2020 Moderate rain, I've lived in Cincinnati all my life, and this is a normal summer rain (video included below). But the gutters are overflowing! They're one day old, how is this even possible? Well, the gutters were installed with no, and in some places, negative pitch, so they weren't draining toward the downspout. In one area, the fascia was pulled away from the roof. So I took video of the failing gutters, and my damaged property. 07/24/2020 @ 13:00 Project Manager Doug visits the property, reviews, and agrees a portion of the gutters need to be rehung, and a damaged light fixture credited. Agrees to rework and $50 invoice credit. 07/24/2020 @ 13:23 I sent via iMessage photos and video of the damage to my property (a broken light fixture and LED flood lights) and rework (poor pitch, causing flooding and fascia damage) to Doug. 07/24/2020 @14:15 I was emailed an invoice that did not reflect the $50 credit. Amount invoiced was $724.05. Project Consultant Song Hong was copied. I did not reply, nor remit payment at this time due to incorrect invoice. 07/30/2020 The same installers visit again, and rehang the gutters, refasten the fascia. I replace the light fixture and LED lamps out of my pocket. NO CONTACT FOR MONTHS - no emails, no letters, no phone calls, no texts, nothing until: 09/28/2020 Final demand letter is received by postal mail - STILL for the incorrect amount of $724.05 09/29/2020 @ 08:41 I call into Mr. Roof Cincinnati Office and ask to speak to Kelsey Lack, regarding the demand letter. I can't remember who I did speak to, it may have been McKenzie -- I asked her to speak with Doug and verify the $50 credit had been submitted. 09/29/2020 @ 08:51 I text Doug and asked him to verify the same 09/29/2020 @ 08:55 I call into the Cincinnati office again to verify the conversation between Doug and McKenzie had taken place, that my account was not being forwarded to collections, no lien was being placed on my property, and that an invoice for the correct amount was indeed being forwarded to me. I ask for a confirmation email after the call for my records. I get very positive feedback to that end - I'm going to get this invoice in a few minutes, I'm going to pay it, and we'll be done with this whole thing. Only I don't get an invoice for the correct amount - I don't get any invoice, I get no communication at all until: 10/06/2020 @ 17:32 Corporate office emails threatening to send my account to collections - but at least I finally have an invoice that shows the credit was applied
