Revisr is a free WordPress plugin that allows you to version control your website using Git.
It utilizes all of the key functionality of Git, allowing for some truly awesome things:
- Easily put your whole website, just some plugins, or your theme into version control
- Create staging sites and deploy back to live when done testing
- Automatically migrate your database between sites
- Use branching to test out quick theme/plugin changes
- Quickly revert your website and/or database to an earlier version
