I am fascinated by CLIP guided neural interpretations of text. There’s something delightful about the interplay between the metaphorical language of poetry and the dream-like hallucinations of the net.

Some of the lines produced amazing images. Here are a few, which I found particularly pleasing.

“A damsel with a dulcimer”
“Down to a sunless sea”
“A savage place! As holy and enchanted”
“Ancestral voices prophesying war”
“As e’er beneath a waning moon was haunted”
“As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing”

I like the interpretation of ‘thick pants’.

“By woman wailing for her demon lover!”
“For he on honey-dew hath fed”

Clearly Mountain Dew features more heavily in the training set than honey-dew…
