Weekly global Marketing Team meetings
The global marketing team meeting will continue at 14:00 UTC in November 2021. We have been consulting on whether we move the time to an hour on as we have in previous years. Since last year, we have an additional collaboration/ new contributor help session after the main meeting, when needed, and this has been popular and useful for involving other teams and supporting contributions. We welcome views in Slack about the changes to the start of the global meetings.

A meetup is typically a chance for local WordPress users to get together and share new ideas and seek help from one another. - Contributor Ladder presentation
- GitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner. https://github.com/ training – revised date, postponed due to contributor requests as coincided with the school holidays. Requests in so far to avoid the the weeks of 1 and 8 November due to festivals. Please add any major dates to avoid to the Marketing channel Slack to help us plan these sessions
The team has a Google Calendar which lists meetings, collaborations and social activities. If you are using Microsoft Outlook, you can follow this guide to embed Team’s Calendar in your own calendar.

Change in Global Marketing meeting times
Following feedback and surveys, we are changing the Global Marketing meeting time to accommodate as many people as possible.
- 6 January 2021 to 24 March 2021 inclusive, 15:00 UTC
- 31 March 2021 until 31st October 2021 inclusive, 14:00 UTC
- 3 November 2021 until Daylight Saving Time change in Europe, Until we have received more responses from the team, we will continue the meeting time at 14:00 UTC. In previous years, it has changed to 15:00 UTC to accommodate the team at that time.
