    My kids asked me if they could have a lemonade stand today. I said “No, not today. It would be too hard to coordinate & set up. I’m sorry!” Full of confident conviction, my 4 year old patted my knee. “It’s okay, Mama. You can do hard things! Let’s get started!” 😩

    It’s critical to understand the TX law b/c it is part of a desperate effort to do by harassment, intimidation, & menacing what could not be accomplished by regular channels of democratic engagement. It is of a piece w/recent voter suppression bills and anti-truth school bd mobs.

    My spouse (a man) volunteers at abortion clinics escorting women in because he was "tired of seeing white men yelling at young Black and Brown women" while calling on abortion clinics in his role as a pharma rep. "Let's seem them get in my face." A bright spot.
