    so the piece is constructed not with a purely "human" voice; nor is it TTS, AI or any sort of artificial voice. It is, like I said, a synthesizer trying to sound like Aimilia. The boundaries, in listening, are *very* thin and belong to the listener and the listener alone.

    Aimilia learned and recorded the song in one week, without speaking a work of Brazilian Portuguese. She annotated her own listening in greek alphabet. Then I taught my little Eurorack system to reconstruct her voice as best as it could, then tuned the piece to the room it was in.

    also, I'd *love* to install this work again: an 8-channel piece on what makes a voice "human" or not; based on a Brazilian rendition of the story of the Prodigal Son, sung by a synthesizer trying to emulate a Greek singer with no knowledge of Portuguese.
