TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer (TCCD)

The TYPO3 Association defines the TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer as follows:

A TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer has to have experience collected through projects, should know the architecture, design patterns, best practices, and a fair share of internals both TYPO3 CMS and the extension framework. TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer can implement an extension completely in a state-of-the-art way. They write clean code by following the TYPO3 Coding Guidelines (CGL), and they are well versed in a wide range of topics, from the initial setup of an extension up to the point of publishing it in the TYPO3 Extension Repository (TER).

Roadmap

1. Know the syllabus

We have compiled educational objectives for each topic you need to know to get certified. Get familiar with the syllabus and use it as a checklist while learning.

2. Dive into the topics

There are various resources available to get prepared properly. We recommend the book TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer.

3. Sign Up

You are able to take an exam at different TYPO3 events, such as camps, conferences or the TYPO3 CertiFUNcation Day. A list of all events can be found here, and list of current TYPO3 Certification Events can be found here, on Eventbrite.

4. Take the exam

Be on time, keep calm, and master it. Good luck! Once you have successfully passed the exam, you will will receive your certificate and be automatically listed on the TCCD listing page.

Validity of the TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer Certification

The TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer certificate expires 24 months after the date of issue. You can visit our annual TYPO3 CertiFUNcation event to extend the validity of the certificate for an additional 12 months.
