J Francis Company LLCJ. Francis worked with us to design and build a complete basement remodel, plus two full bathrooms. They were knowledgeable about specific issues with our old home and all requirements that would need to be met to pass inspections. The paid attention to details and let us know immediately about any problems that would cause a change order (like unlevel floors, unique subflooring, plumbing issues, etc.). They're not cheap, and they use a lot of subcontractors to get the work done, but they do their best to find and hire quality people who truly care about the work they're doing. If something isn't perfect (or close to it), they fix it. If you want your project done well and efficiently, then give J. Francis a call!- Robyn B.

Lowe Painting ServicesI wish I could give 10 stars. Ray and his team did a great job. THe team is really fast and skilled. They know what they are doing. We were painting an old house to get it ready to sell. They removed ancient wall paper and painted everything. Plus Ray had really good ideas to further improve the house and I'm sure they made the house much more valuable. Ray stayed with the job even as the requirements kept creeping. He showed up weekends and holidays if necessary. He owned the work. Did a great job, was timely and responsible. You couldn't ask for better.- Eric L.

ZURCHER HOME IMPROVEMENTSWe hired the Zurcher’s to do a multiple window replacement and install of a new front entry door. From the early stage of design and choosing products, Tom was knowledgeable and helpful. He suggested we use the provia app, which allowed us to visually create a custom painted door with beautiful glass, without any guessing of how the finished product would match with the house. The install was efficient, clean, enjoyable and professional. In one day’s work, we had two large windows replaced, trimmed and a new front entry door hung with complete reconstruction of the frame plus they re-hung our existing screen door per our request. The craftsmanship is second to none. The crew is respectful of your home and space and clean up as if they were never there. Primacy PaintingCarl and his crew painted all of our kitchen cabinets, a butlers pantry and small bar area. It was a massive amount of cabinets. There was no continuity prior to this painting project. Carl gave us great advice for the color scheme and then did his thing. He set up a “paint shop” in my garage where he sprayed all of the doors and drawer faces. (He quarantined the area and put paper on the floor. hence, no overspray or stains.)He and his crew showed up on time and were all completely professional. I like Carl / Primacy Painting because he is an extremely “picky” person and will not settle for anything less than perfection. He knows his trade and what additives to add to the paint for durability. It has been several months since he painted our kitchen cabinets and they show no signs of ware. We get so many compliments on how this paint project has improved our house. If you want the job done right at a reasonable price, I cannot recommend Carl and primacy painting any higher.- Mark E.

B&M Home ImprovementsBrien is the kind of contractor that you dream of finding. Meticulous, trustworthy, fast, and friendly. He turned our dingy Pittsburgh basement into what's probably the nicest room in the entire house. Not only did he come in with fantastic design ideas, he really has an eye for the aesthetic. He designed and built the most beautiful bathroom with modern shiplap walls. He also recommended the perfect flooring for our uneven basement floors. We honestly could not be happier with the finished basement and will definitely hire Brien and his team again. Team showed expertise and knowledge of products and pricing was precise. Contact was made as promised and updates provided. We were informed each step of the way. Installation and attention to detail and respect for homeowner was right on the mark. Follow-up was amazing.... we thought one of the panes was scratched and contacted Mr. Zurcher who responded immediately and within 10 minutes a new panel was ordered; HOWEVER, it was only glue and our misconception and did not need any remediation.... Felt foolish but Mr. Zurcher assured us that if at any time we had a question to always reach out. The quality of this experienced team is fair, honest and trustworthy.

From the initial consultation with Larry, through the completion of the project, Larry and his team worked diligently to meet all of our expectations. The communication was excellent throughout, and the attention to detail was extraordinary. Having worked with other contractors in the past, Elite Renovations sets a new standard for us with regard to customer service and setting, managing, and meeting expectations. Larry worked with us to design our new space, provided sketches for the new layout, and worked with all of our suppliers to ensure a custom and finished look. They completely gutted the bathroom, including the sub-floor, built a magnificent new shower with marble tile, installed new porcelain tile on a heated floor system, installed new vanities and mirrors, new lighting throughout the bathroom and bedroom, reworked and installed new electrical circuits. They also removed and moved walls and doorways to allow for a beautiful walk-in closet. We couldn't be more thrilled with our new master en-suite. The fit and finish of the final project is everything we wanted. We look forward to working with Larry and Elite Renovations on our next home remodeling project.

Hiring a contractor to work on your home is a roll of the dice these days. You never know who you can trust or who will do quality work and treat your property like their own. Recently I have been on the bad end of one of these dishonest bad contractors. I should of went with my gut but I didn’t and paid a price. I learned a lot from that experience as well as the law under the Home Consumer Protection Act (HCPA), and I recommend that you do your research from top to bottom. With that said, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CL FREY as a reputable, honest, caring and professional contractor. My neighbor had CL FREY sign in their yard so I started my research, and I couldn’t find a single negative review, every review was 5 stars! CL FREY also follows the federal and state laws defined under the HCPA. I went to their webpage and submitted my request for a quote on a Sunday to replace the roof and two skylights. On Monday, we received a call back and scheduled my appointment. The owner came to my house and went through EVERYTHING about the job, materials, and time that it would take to complete. Now we all have certain feelings when we meet people for the first time. I immediately knew I wanted to hire CL FREY and that I wasn’t going to have that horrid experience I had just a month ago. Whenever we spoke to the office or owner, we felt like they were our friends. So refreshing! The day before the dumpster was set to arrive and be placed in my driveway, I had a knock at the door. It was the owner and his foreman asking me if I need help moving my trailer. I was taken back by this as it was so unexpected. This was also my introduction to the foreman. My gut feeling again after the introduction was, “we made the right decision hiring CL FREY!” The day arrives for work to begin. It wasn’t the best morning since it was drizzling and cold, but the crew showed up at the exact time they said they would be here. Due to the weather they had to wait it out for about an hour or so before they could start. I couldn’t believe how fast they had the old roof off and were starting to install the new roof. I mean these guys didn’t hold back and knocked it out of the park. When they finished, the foreman knocked on my door and said that they were done and that he was doing his final walk through. He was making sure no trash was left anywhere. Even the tiniest piece of old shingle, plastic, or paper. I think my yard was cleaner after they left then before they started work at my house! During the skylight installation, the foreman showed me and explained that there was a gap inside from the drywall to frame of the new skylights. I didn’t order custom skylights, so this is common to have this gap. He explained what I could do to for the inside to cover it up. Even though this wasn’t their responsibility to correct, the owner and foreman came back and put up the molding for me. They were not going to let me be unhappy at all. This here says a lot about their character as a people and professionalism as a company. I want to THANK them for their extra mile they went for me. The skylights look great!!! I think I typed too much so I will end with this, if you want a good quality job with an honest reputable, caring, professional company, HIRE CL FREY AND I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!!
