Mitchell Baker co-founded the Mozilla Project to support the open, innovative web and ensure it continues offering opportunities for everyone. As CEO of Mozilla Corporation, Mitchell is focused on accelerating the growth levers for the core Firefox browser product and platform, while investing in innovative solutions to mitigate the biggest challenges facing the internet.

As Chairwoman of Mozilla for the last two decades, Mitchell Baker has been responsible for organizing and motivating a massive, worldwide, collective of employees and volunteers who are building the internet as a global public resource, open and accessible to all. Mitchell is deeply engaged in developing product offerings that promote the mission of empowering individuals. She also guides the overall scope and direction of Mozilla’s mission. Mitchell has written the key documents that set out Mozilla's enduring mission and commitments -- the Mozilla Public License in 1998, the Mozilla Manifesto in 2007 and the Mozilla Manifesto Addendum -- also known as the Pledge for a Healthy Internet -- in 2018.

Mitchell is a strong advocate for the open internet, open source, and the importance of connecting technology to its impact on individuals and society. She is highly regarded as one of the pioneers of the web and bringing the open internet to consumers. She was instrumental in Netscape’s decision in 1998 to release its source code to the public. This later led to the release of the Firefox browser and the creation of the Mozilla Foundation as a global technology force that spans software product development, educational initiatives, and participatory movements. After co-founding the Mozilla Project, Mitchell served as its general manager and CEO from 1999 until January 2008, when the organization’s rapid growth encouraged her to split her responsibilities and add a CEO.

Mitchell is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Oxford Internet Institute and the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy. She is a Board Member of OpenMRS, Inc., which develops open source medical records systems for use in resource-constrained environments. She co-chaired the U.S. Department of Commerce Digital Economy Board of Advisors from its inception in March 2016 until August 2017, served on the United Nations High Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment, and the ICANN High Level Panel on Global Internet Cooperation and Governance Mechanisms. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Mitchell received her B.A. in Asian Studies from UC Berkeley and her J.D. from Berkeley Law.

TIME Magazine profiled Mitchell in its global list of “100 Most Influential People” under “Scientists and Thinkers”. Bloomberg listed her as one of the “25 Most Influential People on the Web”. She was honored as winner of the Anita Borg Institute’s 2009 Women of Vision Award and received the Aenne Burda Award for Creative Leadership in 2010. In 2012, Mitchell was inducted into the founding group of the Internet Society’s Hall of Fame. In 2018 she received the Webby Lifetime Achievement Award. She also received an honorary doctorate from the Universite Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. She has written op-eds for the Atlantic and CNN.com and appeared on NBC “Meet the Press”, BBC “HardTalk”, “CNN Global Office” , NBC’s “Weekend Today”, France 24, the UK's Channel 4 and NPR’s “Morning Edition". She has spoken at high-level events like Tech for Good, VivaTech, Wired NextFest, World Economic Forum, Mobile World Congress, Web Summit, Collision and Singularity University.

As Mozilla’s Vice President of Business Development, Katherine leads the team in charge of growth and partnerships. She is responsible for managing global search and product partnerships, generating new revenue streams and exploring new business models and opportunities.

Partners are critical to Mozilla’s reach and impact. As such, Katherine's team oversees partner-product strategy and go-to-market efforts related to Firefox (desktop and mobile), Security & Privacy products, channel and distribution, and new product and service areas.

Previously, as Senior Director of Business Development, Katherine led her team through major new initiatives, product expansion, new business revenue generation, distribution, and rapid discovery efforts across Mozilla's core, adjacent and conceptual product lines.

Prior to Mozilla, Katherine was an entrepreneur, founding and bootstrapping SnapTwice, a photo-centric mobile and web offering, geared toward consumers and SMBs. Before that, Katherine led Business Development for Tripadvisor (TRIP) in the Americas for several years, focused on mobile and non-desktop growth. She was part of the executive team that grew and sold EveryTrail, a mobile travel startup, to Tripadvisor in 2011; Tripadvisor went public later that same year. Katherine earned her MBA and BA from Stanford University.

As Chief, Core Products, Dave Camp is responsible for managing the overall development of products such as Firefox, Hubs, Pocket and our privacy and security focused projects. Dave was previously Chief of Firefox Products and before that VP of Engineering, Firefox, leading the global team of engineers that build, test, and ship the Firefox family of products and services.

Before that as Chief, Firefox Products, Dave Camp was responsible for all product management, engineering, technology and operations in support of Firefox products, services and web platform.

Dave joined Mozilla in 2006 to work on Gecko, building networking and security features and was a contributor to the release of Firefox 3. After a short stint at a small startup, he came back to join the Firefox Developer Tools team. He led the Developer Tools team through its first major release and the introduction of its mobile inspection tools, including remote debugging and responsive design visualization tools.

Dave became Director of Engineering, Firefox with the task of developing engineers and managers’ capabilities, improving core product quality, and cementing the team’s reputation as a world-class product engineering organization. The team launched Firefox Quantum, incorporating major improvements in speed, stability, security, multitasking and customizability in 2017.

Prior to joining Mozilla, Dave worked at Ximian and maintained Nautilus, the central file manager for GNOME, the most popular desktop environment for Linux. He also served on the GNOME Foundation’s board of directors.

In his spare time, Dave plays thrash metal guitar for his children at their home in the Pacific Northwest.

As SVP, Firefox, Selena Deckelmann is responsible for implementation of the Web Platform (the Gecko browser engine), and the growth of the Firefox desktop and mobile products and search business. Her focus is on the growth and sustainability of Firefox.

Previously as VP, Firefox Desktop, Selena was responsible for the growth of the Firefox desktop product and search business, including all aspects of Firefox Desktop releases, Mozilla’s privacy and security feature set and accounts.

Previously as Director of Security and then Senior Director, Firefox Runtime, Selena led her team to some of Mozilla’s biggest successes, ranging from big infrastructure projects like Quantum Flow and Project Fission to key features like Enhanced Tracking Protection and services like Firefox Monitor. In total she has held nine roles within Mozilla, starting in 2012 as Data Architect, for which she contributed to the Socorro project, a data warehouse analyzing crashes of Firefox and several other products.

Selena’s career spans more than two decades in tech, education, and manufacturing. She also has served in a number of volunteer positions, such as Director of the Python Software Foundation, the Founder and Chair of Open Source Bridge, and as Advisor for the Ada Initiative, a non-profit organization that sought to increase women's participation in the free culture movement, open source technology and open culture.

Outside of work, she is a weightlifter and birdwatcher near her home in Portland, OR.

Leslie is Head of Diversity and Inclusion and Chief of Staff to the CEO of Mozilla Corporation. As Head of Diversity and Inclusion, Leslie is responsible for Mozilla’s global inclusion strategy and programs across our own culture, as shown in our products, and in how we build community beyond Mozilla. Leslie is also responsible for managing business operations for the Office of the CEO and supporting strategic projects on behalf of the Office of the CEO.

Leslie began her career in marketing technology with Accenture, helping companies to better align product fit to consumer behavior. As a recovering technologist, Leslie now spends her time helping leaders and organizations drive improved business outcomes including revenue, usage, retention, employee engagement, and diversity.

Leslie is on the Industry Advisory Council for Virginia State University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the first African American Greek-letter sorority. She is also a member of the United States Tennis Association, and a member/volunteer of Palo Alto Pickleball Association.

Leslie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Southern California.

As the VP and General Manager of Pocket, Matt Koidin is responsible for the Pocket platform.

Pocket is a platform that lets people discover, capture, and spend time with the stories that fascinate and fuel them. Pocket recommends best-of-web content across its properties, including the recommendations on Firefox New Tab. Within the Pocket app, users have a home to absorb stories they’ve saved without the distractions of the web. Pocket is used by millions of people around the world, has won ten Webby Awards and is consistently featured in Google Play and the App Store as an editor’s choice, top-rated app experience.

Matt was a member of the founding team of Pocket, joining in 2011 as CTO and Head of Operations. He has been an integral part of the team and leader through every step of Pocket’s journey. Mozilla acquired Pocket in 2017.

Matt joined the entrepreneur ranks while still an undergraduate at Stanford University, founding a company called Justarrive, one of the first e-ticket companies focused on sports. That experience hooked Matt on being an entrepreneur and since then his journey has included stints at four startups, Microsoft, an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business (Duke University) and strategy consulting with Deloitte.

Matt is a recipient of the Fuqua Alumni Impact Award for his role as co-chair of the Duke Global Entrepreneurship Network and recently completed a six year term as chair of the board for the Presidio Knolls School. Matt lives in San Francisco with his wife, Christine, and two daughters, Maile and Lauren.

As VP of Data, Dan leads Mozilla's data engineering, data science, and machine learning groups. He also leads engineering operations, IT, Mozilla Rally, and Kaala.

Prior to Mozilla, Dan was an early and long-tenured employee at Etsy. As the first principal engineer at the company, Dan worked on everything a little bit, but his most notable contributions were in infrastructure, search, and recommendations systems. He has been on the founding teams at several startups and has worked in data at Stripe and Mailchimp.

Dan holds a BS in computer science from Cornell University. He lives in Los Angeles with his son Oscar and partner Samantha.

Eric is CTO of the Firefox team at Mozilla. In this role he leads the long-term technical strategy for Firefox. He also partners with the Engineering and Product organizations to set the short-term technical direction.

Since joining Mozilla in 2013, Eric has been focused on advanced technologies and Mozilla’s technical strategy. Eric was instrumental in the development of WebRTC, which brought voice and video to the browser and worked with Cisco to start OpenH264, which allows Open Source projects to use the world’s most popular video codec for free. He also played a key role in starting Let’s Encrypt, which makes it easy for anyone to run a secure website.

Eric’s background is in communications security, especially Transport Layer Security (TLS), the foundational security protocol for the Web. He is the former chair of the Internet Engineering Task Force TLS Working group as well as the editor of the TLS and HTTPS specification. Eric co-designed Datagram Transport Layer Security, and is the author of one of the standard books on TLS.

Eric was on the Internet Architecture board from 2002 to 2008 and in 2007 served on California Secretary of State Debra Bowen’s Top-to-Bottom Review of the voting systems certified for use in California.

Eric holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from Yale University.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Lindsey Shepard leads Mozilla’s global marketing strategy and organization. In this role she guides the team to find new ways to attract people to our new products and Firefox browsers, in a period when there has never been greater need for privacy-focused solutions to the challenges of online life.

Previously, Lindsey was Vice President of Product Marketing, with responsibility for overseeing new product launches, nurturing existing products, ideating on key campaigns and go-to-market strategies, and evangelizing new innovations in internet technologies to drive Mozilla’s future growth.

Prior to Mozilla, Lindsey headed up corporate-level marketing for Facebook Inc., including leading product marketing for Facebook’s core products: News Feed, News, Stories, Civic Engagement, Privacy and Safety. Before joining Facebook, Lindsey led marketing for GoldieBlox, a Bay Area start-up focused on bridging the gender gap in STEM.

Lindsey lives in the Bay Area with her husband Joe, her two sons Stone and Paolo, three dogs, two birds and a cat. In her spare time, you’ll find her sweeping up dog hair, gardening, and debating the relative merits of the houses of Hogwarts.
