Commerce Guys separated from Platform.sh in 2016 to refocus on Drupal Commerce, one of the largest open source eCommerce software projects in the world. Three years later we finalized the long-planned rebranding of the company to Centarro when we launched Centarro Toolbox, a collection of SaaS products and support packages that complement any Drupal Commerce site.
Evolving from Commerce Guys to Centarro reflects our belief that change is at the center of eCommerce. Our new product, support, and service offerings make our expertise available to even more teams to help them adapt to change and grow with ease.
Drupal contributions
Drupal Commerce powers over 50,000 sites of all types - D2C brand sites, digital commerce stores, enterprise transaction servers, and more. We offer strategic consulting, integration, and managed eCommerce services while developing and supporting our contributions as active participants in the Drupal community.
Our team (rszrama, bojanz, mglaman, jsacksick, czigor, lisastreeter, and others through the years) have contributed significantly to Drupal, primarily through our work on Drupal Commerce and its related modules.
Members of our team monitor the drupal-commerce tag on Drupal Answers, a community-driven Q&A board we invite you to participate in. Ask questions, leave answers. We also maintain the #commerce channel on Drupal Slack, a support channel serving over 1,000 Commerce users.
We built Commerce Kickstart, the most successful Drupal distribution ever. Not only did it make Commerce 1.x faster to launch and easier to administer, its primary innovations made their way into Drupal 8 and Commerce 2.x core.
In June of 2014, we launched Platform.sh, a Drupal-optimized Platform-as-a-Service. Platform.sh became an independent company on February 1, 2016 as the remaining Commerce Guys team refocused on Drupal Commerce and the transition to Centarro.
