Hi all,

I’m having a difficult time trying to figure out how to create an animating three bar hamburger menu using the twenty nineteen theme.

I’m not a fan of the 3 dotted svg sliding partial menu.

You essentially can’t, I would try another theme that suits you.

I’m using a hamburger menu in my Twenty Nineteen child theme. (See screenshot at http://oldenwilde.org/srasmus/samples/ow-mobile-header.jpg.) The trick is that I’m managing the menu with the Ubermenu plugin rather than the WordPress admin, then styling the hamburger button in my child style.css.
