My site crashed a couple of weeks ago and I rebuilt it from a backup, but somehow my Simple Links plugin disappeared. When I reinstalled it, my links reappeared in the plugin, and I moved it back to the footer. However, previously my links were sorted by category. Now that appears to only be a feature of the Pro version. Did you remove that from the standard version, or am I missing something?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Druekberg,

If you are referring to the “Display By Category” feature, this has never been a feature of the standard version.

Once upon a time (a few years ago…) there was an add-on for Simple Links called “Display By Category” which could be purchased separately to get just this feature. It has long since been deprecated in favor of Simple Links PRO.

If you have previously purchased and old plugin, it will be available in your “My Account” section of the site. I can’t promise it will work with the newest version of Simple Links but it may.

    Have a great day!

Nope, didn’t purchase an old plugin. When I installed Simple Links last summer it had this feature. Rogue installation floating around? Anyway, I figured out a workaround. Strange that the reinstallation found some of my old links but not others. Maybe some categorized links got wiped in the crash. We may never know.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
