Pros: This application allows you to sell your products and get paid through your online store's website, through social networks such as Facebook and Instagram, and also from other large online commerce sites such as Amazon and Google Shopping. Unlike other e-commerce platforms Ecwid offers the great benefit of not charging commission for each sale, which is attractive for small merchants who want to progress and develop. Its API is highly intuitive and open source so it is customizable, this allows to improve the application by complementing it with other apps. Ecwid allows you to request and obtain a virtual point of sale for websites and social networks, with more than 50 payment gateways to offer all the tools for the favorable economic development of companies subscribed to its service.

Cons: Language is a limiting line for non-US or non-English speaking companies as Ecwid is only available in English. The customization of the online store requires a lot of time and some technical knowledge to get all the benefits that the application has to offer. The paid extensions of the software are the ones that provide the best tools and functions for an optimal performance, but each of them has an additional cost that is not so cheap.

Overall: Through the use of Ecwid software we find the necessary tools to boost our business in a cloud-based e-commerce platform, allowing to sell or obtain payments through the application, and include the electronic store in a website and/or social network. The implementation of Ecwid is an excellent option for entrepreneurs, as well as for merchants and small and medium-sized businesses that are looking to expand their customer reach and boost their sales through a variety of e-commerce applications.

Pros: Great storefront, really easy to install and get up and running. Lots of great features in the basic package. Very good customer feedback about the ease of use particularly with the older less tech-savvy customers.

Cons: I use it for all my online store builds now but because of this, I see a lot more of the Ecwid advertising wherever I'm online .. preaching to the converted. I do however feel that the pricing on the upgraded offering could be a little more cost-effective.

Overall: Great online e-commerce shopping platform. Very easy to install and works well within the WordPress framework which I use as the basis for building my websites. Extremely user friendly on both sides of the e-commerce shopping experience.

Pros: Easy navigation.

Always adding new functions most recently ribbons which is great when adding new products.

Cons: Nothing negative to say at all about using Ecwid.

Overall: Overall happy with the site and have/would recommend to anyone thinking of starting a business. Is so easy to follow and even not so computer savvy people would be able to easily use Ecwid for their website. I’d definitely recommend paying yearly and go for the highest product listing option you can afford.

Pros: It is easy to use and really gave us the all in one solution for going online. I had excellent experience with customer support. They provided me with custom codes that suited our vision better. Personally I really like the emails I am getting about theirs new blog posts where I find so many usefully info about marketing or specific details how to set up, that I haven't been aware of. Also the key factor for choosing this platform was that we began with free option where it didn't required entering card details, so we could easily explore if we really would need to upgrade. Eventually we upgraded our plan and never regret it.

Cons: Nothing that I am aware of. For now all was working fine and properly and we got even extra support.

Overall: Basically I explained most of it in pro field. We are happy with the platform and planing on using it as long as we will be offering our service.

Pros: I used Ecwid to set up my online store during lockdown. The process was very easy and the end results are stunning. I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend to anybody.

Cons: Listing products is very easy, but it's not so easy changing content elsewhere on the website.

Overall: Very happy. It is very easy to list products and edit them. The end product looks very professional.

Pros: Ecwid web-platform perfect for small business and it is affordable and convenient. And also I like how it automatically charges location-based taxes.

Cons: Doesn’t have option to create a subscription service for my customers. It’s on their list of things to do.

Cons: A minor irritation is not being able to default the display to the lowest cost shipping option on the shopping bag estimate (before the address is inputted for actual calculation).

Overall: Great solution for new shops. It allows an owner to "test the water" with a functional online shop for free (up to 10 products) without having to commit funds from an endeavour that's not yet generating an income. Awesome platform, built to grow with you.

Overall: I'm satisfied with Ecwid so far, it offers me a powerful platform at a convenient price. Ease of use is a big plus.

Pros: I love how easy it is to set up your own functioning website via Ecwid. It’s been so much easier to handle incoming sales for my craft business.

Cons: I haven’t found anything yet that I dislike. It’s been excellent.

Overall: Brilliant and great customer service. I would highly recommend to any business especially those of a small business capacity.

Cons: Me...I am the con. my lack of tech savvy! I do wish there were a glossary of terminology for us tech-challenged small business owners.

Overall: So far we are really happy with Ecwid... it provides what we need for our small business at the moment. Hoping our business grows with Ecwid.

Pros: The company has allowed me to try to recover my business after a covid closure. They allowed me some extra time on my account.

Cons: I wanted to write a nice simple review, but their software required me to type WAY more than I really felt like.

Overall: When my storefront was closed due to covid, I had no income & was lost. While I tried to figure out our next move, ECWID offered me 2 (two) months w/o payment. While it hasn't work out for us, ECWID was kind enough to give us this courtesy, for which we are appreciative.

Pros: Easy to use. Easy to set up. Lots of options for everything. App works great as well. Customer service was fantastic to work with as well!

Cons: Payment options are a little limited. Would like a wider variety.

Cons: -No additional (product) images integration into the existing catalog import functionality. ECWID asks to use a 3rd party file import program or use APIs. Since the main product image is part of the catalog import datafeed, how difficult is it to add additional image attributes? Remember, consumer research shows that consumers need an AVERAGE of 4 product images to make a purchasing decision...1 product image is not sufficient.

Overall: Having been an ecommerce solutions provider for 20+ years, I specialize in the online shopping customer experience. I've helped develop an ecommerce solutions and have used many others including WooCommerce and Magento.

I was drawn to ECWID as an ecommerce solution was needed to plug into an existing site that would help deliver the 'Curbside Pickup' need. Since all my installations will not change site providers just for ecommerce, ECWID is the perfect solution! I look forward to helping ECWID continue its development.

Cons: A search function for the 100 units product would be nice.
As a South African, additional customisation options work out expensive, but they are not absolutely necessary.

Overall: I find the value for money on this product to be amazing. For the basic functions needed by the bulk of the small e-commerce businesses it is perfect.
The only thing they could improve on is adding paid Once off budget friendly add ons which cater for specific businesses.

Pros: The customer service has been excellent. I am new to the world of e-commerce and have found Ecwid easy to learn.

Cons: The learning curve, for me, pairing it with other print-on-demand platforms has been a little frustrating, but I've always got my questions answered by Ecwid customer support in a timely fashion.

Overall: Overall, as someone learning about e-commerce and pushing my products out into the world and already increasing the number of options and growing my site, I believe Ecwid will be able to stay with me as a company and I believe it's going to be a great set-up for me. Ecwid integrates with many platforms so I don't have to worry about moving platforms because all the ones I've considered, Ecwid integrates with.

Pros: Easy to set up a store, as a beginner, it was easy to set up a store. They're lovely store layouts. Love it!

Cons: The limitation on the Free plan, the fact that you can not accept Credit card payments on it. The email marketing feature that is only available when you upgrade to a much more expensive plan for a small business like mine, can not afford it.

Overall: Love it, even recommended to a friend who has started off with a free store. She is also a beginner and she is managing to find her way around.
