What we're about

We are the place to learn more about WordPress in Kansas City since 2010. With weekly work sessions, monthly Meetups and a yearly WordCamp Conference, there is something that's right for you!

WordPress (http://wordpress.org/about/) is a free open source (http://www.opensource.org/) software that is used to create custom websites and blogs powering 75 million web sites world wide. It started in 2003 as just a blogging system, but has evolved to be used as full content management system (CMS) and so much more through the thousands of plugins and widgets (http://wordpress.org/plugins/) and themes (http://wordpress.org/themes/) -- WordPress is limited only by your imagination!

WordCamps (http://wordcamp.org/) are free or low-cost local public educational conferences that happen all around the world to gather and educate WordPress users, organized by WordPress users. These low-key local gatherings allow people from all walks of life to attend, meet, share and learn.

Whether you've been with WordPress since the beginning or you're brand new, we want you to come grow with us! Our goal is to educate and integrate the design, development, and content creation fields to better use of WordPress. Join our community by coming to one of our events and learn from one another, network, and celebrate the global phenomenon that is WordPress.
